Was just thinking the only thing that might make Raw better and boos the ratings is a comedic championship.

And Cole being outraged that Brock has the nerve to make everyone wait a week for him to cash in the briefcase.

Enjoyed the Becky stuff, but tag division seems pretty embarrassing with the champs being pinned every single time they show up on tv.

The actual wrestling on the show was pretty good except for Becky having to shout "come closer" at Billie Kay when the camera was right on her. I'd like to see a longer Cesaro/Ricochet match because they were doing some pretty absurd stuff.

The 24/7 thing doesn't bother me much just because it's using a bunch of guys who weren't doing anything anyway. Now obviously they could actually involve those people in storylines and make them matter in some way, but I have no faith the company would ever do that, so at least this is something. If they're not totally behind the times, it has some potential to engage people on Twitch or other social media too.

Tune in, watch Sami get buried for no reason, tune out.

Can't really blame them for doing a fortnite belt, it's what the next generation of fans want. Like another poster said, this will probably be big on twitch and mobile, following who is the champ each day and the crazy shenanigans involved. They're desperate for views. Wouldn't be shocked to see Nia Jaxx win it by pinning someone in the mens bathroom.

Neither would I.

Briefcase Brock is what's best for business.

That Dolph promo was excellent. Easily his best work he's ever done on the stick.

I actually enjoyed that rule during the hardcore era, they did some fun things with it and it's been long enough they can rehash some of it + whatever else they think of doing.

It's better than whatever cruiser weight match they would throw in instead at least.

I'm too old to care at this point but I don't get some of the outrage on the internets at all about it. If you want more of a wrestling show there's plenty of other content out there.

In case you missed it, IMO the best promo this company has had since Miz's Talking Smack.

I thought he overacted and it was bad. But I seem to be in a vast minority on this.

Just watched it, and I agree with this. I like Ziggler, but that to me was nowhere near his stellar mic work in the SummerSlam build with Ambrose a couple of years ago.

It struck me as a bit dishonest. Ziggler has gotten plenty of big pushes, face and heel. He's been world champion, he's been the leader of a mini-faction. This was Kofi's first ever shot at the main event.

I thought it was completely fair. He had like half-pushes and he's awesome but ends up being the guy who loses to everyone to push them and he'll probably be another victim for Kofi. Regardless I found it a good promo. Thought it was a pretty good episode of smackdown.

I love that they have built shane up to bury everyone so they can feed him to roman. They just don't get it. Annoyingly Drew v Roman with the right stipulations would be awesome.

The 24/7 thing could be more engaging if it somehow included the fans. For example, have it be some ar pokemon style thing where fans use their phones to hunt for the belt either in the arena or around the city. First fan to find it becomes "champ".

I liked the Ziggler promo. I agree there's some overacting but at least they're trying to tell a story. 95% of feuds have no purpose and the build is different variations of the two fighting with 50/50 booking until the ppv. I guess the bar isn't that high, but I enjoy that they're at least attempting to tell a story.

They're attempting, but the rumor has it that it's only a short term thing to set up the Kofi/Dolph feud at SuperShowdown and then it would be quickly forgotten. I hope I'm wrong.

I just think the story is really good.

Midcard JTTS who has been around forever who's character is "I'm actually the best wrestler here but I just dont get any opportunity" is a total dick about it, sees a long time rival who has a similar situation toiling in the midcard gets a chance and does what he never could. That should absolutely eat Ziggler's character up inside and respond with venom and jealousy. That's exactly what I got from that promo and it worked really well for me.

I've always liked Dolph and I would really love his promo if I didn't know it will end up like all his other good stuff and get totally wasted by Vince & co.

Dolph looks good, he acts good, he's good in the ring and (most importantly, obv) he's got a good theme song.

It should be him.

Yup.

Also, its not his fault but he still sounds like a 12 year old boy.

Unfortunately this makes him the guy that he is. Not what WWE want but great. Sami is this times a million and he gets a short push, bury and back with KO. Repeat till he packs it in.

Have not watched in weeks, in due to morbid curiosity cause of AEW. Though they will still not try most likely and they have even lower morale cause Vince is blaming the talent.

Brock tolling Kofi is something. Especially holding the briefcase the wrong way.
