Really wish the IIconics could get their hydration down properly. They've clearly been either under or over hydrated the last 2 weeks which has led to some performances below their usual high standards.

Feel like the IIconics are the female version of Edge & Christian (and I'm totally ok with it) - though putting on some actually good wrestling matches would help

I enjoyed smackdown this week. Raw not so much.

This is a first for this thread on a Monday night.

I very passively watched with the volume off for 90% of it. It didn't look good. There was a contract signing in the main event slot. I think that sums up how good the show was.

I'm only really enjoying the Becky/Lacey feud and thought both were outstanding on the mic. Even if Lacey loses (which is what I expect), this is making her look like a star in the division.

I almost fell asleep during the AJ/Seth contract signing with all the mutual respect and catch phrases. Definitely one of those feuds where I want them to just skip to the match if nobody is going to turn heel or anything.

It's very WWE to have two of the best in-ring tag teams on the planet in Usos and Revival and then make the feud about cracking adolescent gay jokes or whatever that was.

Yeah the Uso/Revival stuff was bull****.

Shane showing up and attacking Miz, leading to a cage match is interesting because I thought Shane had moved onto feuding with Reigns.

I find it strange that Becky is defending against basically two tall blonde amazons at the same time. Also odd that Vince seems to choose the people who do the least at NXT to do the most with on the main brand...Lacey, Elias, while those who were most visible at NXT for a while either end up at the bottom of the cards or nowhere to be seen.

Who are they trying to target with that segment? When I saw Jimmy or Jey watching Dash/Dawson shaving each others backs I felt so bad for those two. These two guys just want to wrestle and be taken seriously and here they are doing this that appeals to nobody.

Alexa having a match where she was tying her shoes the entire match!!!!

These things are embarrassing and make even the good stuff completely irrelevant to me. I'm ok if there's stuff that's boring but those three things were offensively bad. But there was boring stuff too. Alexa introducing the men's MitB match....and then Alexa introducing the women's MitB match for ten minutes each.

Having slept and now having a fresh mind, I hated RAW so much more than I thought last night.

What I find crazy is that their ratings are dropping in a way that should be a huge wake-up call, but there doesn't seem to be any concerted effort to really change up the programming. I don't know if there is even a solution to the problem, but it should be clear that doing the same mailed-in shows that are written 30 minutes before they go on the air isn't working anymore.

Just watching Raw now and I'm gonna have to go ahead and disagree with you. Lacey was great, Becky did the same thing she's been doing for weeks. She reminds us of what we already know (she won at Wrestlemania! she's the man), fans chant her name for existing. I mean props to her for being so over but she's been riding her momentum for far too long, at a certain point she's gonna have to do something new.

The problem with the Women's division is that there's one belt that matters per brand. Very few wrestlers can overcome not being in the title picture (Alexa, Charlotte), but I'm worried that they're just gonna feed Lacey to Becky and then she's gonna disappear, regardless of how great she's been. I hope I'm wrong.

Contract signings are the worst and have no consistency in kayfabe whatsoever. Can they at least try to clarify why certain matches require public contract signings and others don't?

WWE creative's idea of something new: "Becky 2 Belts".

Not even public, but contracts at all. How many times do we see guys doing a promo in the ring and then a match is made and immediately starts? Did these guys sign contracts? It's incredibly tired because the same damn thing always happens.

We're not that far off. They want Becky to be on the mic every week, understandably, but she hasn't had a ton to talk about so has been rehashing a lot of the same points and phrases. I just enjoyed the intensity and focus on her current rivals vs. the recent stretch of happy "we did it" promos and I think her delivery/sense of character was a lot better. It wasn't like an "omg you have to see this" promo, but on an otherwise terrible show, it stood out because both people had actual charisma/characters and were building a fight I want to see.

I'd like to see them do a more head-to-head promo that is about their characters and world views rather than "I want to kick your ass" and such.

Lacey seems like she is exactly what Vince likes (not just in looks, but has a character and can promo) so I wouldn't be too worried. The general concern is true though and I'm pretty frustrated that Ruby/Sarah are totally out of the picture while we get Dana Brooke and Natalya reciting promos like elementary school kids in a play. Raw's women's division is dire because they haven't built up enough people.

This is a perfect analogy. Of all the things that make me cringe about wrestling, this is what makes me cringe the most. Please keep anyone who can't naturally do a promo or skit off the mic.

Y'all gotta start watching wrestling like redirkulous and I. DVR the show, fast forward thru anything that possibly looks awful (which is most stuff). If we missed anything great/hilariously bad it'll likely be posted about itt and you can just go back and watch.
