Agreed. It would have been super easy to book. Asuka steamrolled everyone else on Smackdown and starts calling out Charlotte to avenge last year's loss, but Charlotte thinks Asuka is beneath her and doesn't want to have the match. So Asuka is forced to brutally attack her to get her mad enough to accept the title match.

drunkenly bought floor seats to RAW tonight during a SB Party last month (long story). Havent been to or really watched much WWE since I was a kid (just before and leading up to the Attitude Era.) Anything that I must know prior to going in? Actually, if someone could just catch me up on the last 20 years of pro wrestling that would work too....

Well Vince took everything that made WWE great from 98-03 and decided to do the opposite. It's pretty much impossible to make sense of anything they try to do, but they randomly stumble into some pretty sweet characters/storylines (Becky v Ronda bein the current one, despite their best efforts).

They also now do mid-match commercials, so if you were wondering why they introduced Alexa Bliss and then she just sat there for a few minutes...that's why.

Great choice to go. You've already seen something extremely rare: A No Way Jose wrestling match.

Alexa hosting, Elias the musical entertainment at Mania...because you need to be at least 40 to have a match on the show.

So is Alexa Bliss just dead or something?

I'd be surprised if Corbin ended up actually being Angle's opponent by the time they get to Mania. Still think it's going to be...

Spoiler:
Cena

Oh ya I forgot to mention that HHH went from burying talent to the entire business

The Cole/Batista interview is one of the worst things I've ever seen. At least Cole calling him Dave the whole time was hilarious

I ended up sleeping through RAW which, judging by the thread not mentioning anything that happened, is a good thing. But I did just see this:

I think she doesn't really have a place in the current main event picture and this is a better use of her talents than being involved in random midcard/tag team matches given she's not a great wrestler. I don't think she's actually injured or anything.

Really liked how they did Ronda/Dana the last two weeks. Adding Ronda's husband for heat also made me laugh. The guy is an IRL heel and it's smart to use it.

My first thought seeing that picture: damn Dave sure looks a lot like Bubba Ray.

The gauntlet match should be pretty exciting and fun. Seems like an episode to go to if there ever was one.

I'd go to most smackdowns, never a raw.

So here’s the problem with the Kofi storyline, they clearly *think* they’re booking him as some huge underdog but they’re actually making him look overwhelmingly strong. At least they didn’t blow their full wad and have him win all five outright but still, when he inevitably faces Bryan at WM he feels (in kayfabe) like a monster favorite.

Also Vince has yet to give an actual reason he continues to get himself involved and hold Kofi back.

I don't think it makes him look that strong it just makes the other wrestlers involved look awful.

He did in their promo when he said Kofi was a "B+" who is good but not good enough.

But the real reason they're hinting at (without outright saying it) is that he/the WWE is racist.

This will be confirmed when DB wins in ~15 seconds at WM with a curb stomp.

I had the same thought watching last night. Thought Kofi, a mid-card tag team act, should have gone down with Cesaro in the second match.

Then I thought of the irony that Harper & Rowan were wiping the mat with the New Day not too long ago, but Kofi was supposed to beat him after two matches already. Rowen is the guy they decide to protect though and have him lose via DQ.

Joe, your US champ, gets pinned for the second week in a row (women's tag champs were pinned too on the show), this time after the guy had fought 3 guys already and been beaten so badly the last guy was DQed. They showed Rey backstage with Eddie's storyline son Dominic and I was thinking Joe's gonna beat the **** outta this kid, but now I think the kid could take him. Maybe Rey's wife can beat Joe too.

Still not done, the mid-carder also beats another one of your top guys in Orton and nearly beats the champ after that. So how is this guy an underdog anymore? Clearly he's either the greatest of all time or your garbage roster just got exposed.

Also seemed ridiculous how every "face" on the card had an edict to mention Kofi during their segments. Because Miz and KO have been such close friends of Kofi in the past. Nikki Cross hasn't been seen in weeks, but she's right there in front of the TV rooting for Kofi. Guess she's a face this week too.

Kofi will get his WWE title shot at Mania. And it will be on the pre-show.

He hooked the tights on Joe, and straight rolled-up Orton, so wouldn't say he buried either of them (considering how often people lose via roll-up now).

Koofi storyline would be a lot better without McMahon inexplicably involving himself.

Can we talk about how good the Miz is? Didn't think he had this great babyface character in him

That was a hell of a promo, and a face Miz/heel Bryan feud following WM would be ****ing stellar.

I thought Miz had great babyface potential. Then he had his first face run and lit that belief on fire. Very happy to see him able to kill it in both roles now.

Hes obviously improved overall by an exponential factor since his first face run. Plus they stuck him with the ****ing loser gimmick of Rick Flair protege when he cant do a decent figure four.
