Yeah, I can see how Ruby's performance last night earned her another title shot tonight.

What is the point of DIY v Revival?

What is the point of burying Nicky against Rhonda again?

Hayman is still a top guy.

How does it make sense to let Heyman do half a promo and make him disappear?

i won tickets to tonight's show and didn't even go. Dropped them off at the big brothers big sisters office today. Hopefully a kid is having a blast, and hopefully nothing really cool happens so i don't hate myself for not going. :P

When you are giving a wrestler a huge losing streak don't ****ing bury it on commentary. You make it as bad as it can be you don't go meh he's lost a lot.

Elias's best match on raw?

That's made me less worried about Black not getting over on the main roster. He just does some cool **** which turns out translates.

I have just a couple of questions

1) Why did "Richochet" save/team with Finn? The obvious answer is "because the **** script said so" but in kayfabe, how could it have made sense?

2) Before that match started, Heyman was cutting a promo and was "interrupted" by Balor, Cole waxed poetic about Finn's history with Brock, they went to commercial, then when they came back Finn was in the ring Heyman was gone and Finn didn't acknowledge why he interrupted Heyman. The ****?

3) Why did they book Ruby so strong tonight after she just got squashed last night at a PPV? Seems totally backwards for a number of reasons, the most obvious being, if Ruby had given Ronda a fight last night like she did tonight Ronda being slightly out of it could have contributed to her getting worked by Becky Lynch. And then they coulda done the whole "oh she's furious after last night" (like Cole made sure to mention) and then had the re-match be a burial.

I have some follow up questions:

4) What the hell is a DIY? Can someone explain to me what that means and why? I've tried googling and nothing comes up. Does it not stand for anything? The only thing I can think of is 'do it yourself' which wouldn't make any sense because you don't do anything yourself in a tag team, you have a partner to do it with you.

5) If Tommasso Ciampa is such a 'despicable human' as Cole mentioned to us in his scouting report, why did he debut as a face? So he's just gonna continue to play two personas now? Face tag team on RAW and heel champion on NXT?

Also, gotta love the WWE bit 'tag team champs get squashed clean in a NON TITLE MATCH' because.......reasons.

I think the clear indication here is at the Ronda at full strength destroyed Ruby Riott. Now, after Becky's attack Ronda is banged up and it evened the playing field Ruby to have a chance the next night. I don't think in kayfabe we're to believe Ronda got 'worked' by Becky, or in any way should Ronda look weaker for getting beat down by her. Becky used a weapon, Ronda didn't, of course Ronda's gonna lose that battle.

The better question is

6) Why the **** would Ruby get a rematch for the title the next night after getting squashed in under 2 minutes?

1) Because Rick O'Shea felt an obligation to save his fellow countryman, Finn.

2) Finn didn't really interrupt Paul, they cut him off by playing his music. Finn had a match, so he had to go to the ring?

5) Ciampa is also a master manipulator. He acts in whatever way most benefits Ciampa. It was beneficial to Ciampa to act as he did last night.

That's actually been a staple of the last few months of episodes. Wrestlers coming out to start the next segments well before the previous segment has ended. I can only assume it's happening now to speed up the show since they are under strict deadlines to end at 11pm on the dot.

Speaking of which, a live entertainment program that's strictly confined to an ending time really hurts the product. Part of what made RAW exciting was the unpredictability of how (and more importantly WHEN) each episode would end with their ability to extend the run time.

Most important question of last nights raw hasn't been asked imo: What was going on with Ronda burying her face in Sarah Logans breast while getting up after jumping off the top rope?

Not that I'm complaining, but it just looked pretty weird - she didn't slip or anything, it just looked like she decided to give Logans breast a quick cuddle before getting up.

You can hear her say "I'm sorry," right before the motorboat. Looked like she slipped right before the jump so they couldn't catch her cleanly.

Elias passed up onhuge chance to get nuclear heat(and probably every heel tonght on Smackdown in Nola) by not bringing up the no call in NFC champ.

He instead chose the usualy backwoods swamp garbage line. I mean, there were saints got robbed signs shown on the big screen several time. Prime opportunity

Since I've been back into wrestling there have been times where the new day have been annoying but considering their act they really hit the mark so much. Big E just gets it.

Outside of untelevised house shows, local sports heat is garbage heat.

(Obviously I'll forever carve out an exception for The Rock's concert in Sacramento.)

That Rose/Asuka finish was awful. Actually, Rose even hanging with Asuka is a travesty, but I guess there are no credible heel females available on SD now.

They actually used 20 minutes of show (including commercials) on pre-match promos and entrances for the main event with only 13 minutes of show time left for the actual match.

I rarely watch SD or Raw live as I'm from the UK and when I watch on catchup I turn both into 20 minute programmes by skipping through but I have no idea how US people put up with those adverts it's every other minute.

Those smoking ads tilt the **** out of me as does the temptation island thing but I do love that chicken at popeyes.

I don't know what they're doing with these NXT guys at all (and I don't think they know what they're doing either) but it made for a good night of wrestling tonight at least.

Smackdown had a problem with Asuka where nobody left on the show seemed remotely at her level, so I'm begrudgingly okay with Mandy beating her in that way even though it was kind of dumb. We all know Vince is going to push her anyways so might as well get it going.

The problem is it just made Asuka look stupid and weak. If you're going to try to execute a surprise roll up like that then Asuka has to be somewhat hurt, caught off guard or both. She was neither and it was just a really slow/poor roll up that a champion should always kick out of.

Mandy is hot though so I guess there's that
