House seems pretty packed by the way for the most part, didn’t really think SD was able to do that.

I find this Bros vs The World thing pretty intriguing for some reason. I really enjoy that Uso and Big E didn't hesitantly come together and were united from the start. The rare not so cringy writing from WWE.

The tag divisions need to be combined though.

That was a very fun piece of business.

WWE trolling me by including “you deserve it” chants during a video package hocking merchandise.

Should've started a "this is awesome" chant.

Charlotte wooing will never not be painful.

Like, Charlotte is awesome and very deserving of her spot on her own merits, but in those split-seconds when she woos, she temporarily becomes David Sammartino.

Orton comes out and the crowd goes dead? lol

Crowd was pretty loud for him IMO. Not sure why it came across differently on TV.

(I was dead for him.)

I die a little inside when he comes out, so there’s that

Do they know that they’re allowed to stop featuring Jinder?

The announcers are trying to make Shane to be the face in the scenario. Anyone who watched knows that the kick was unintentional and Shane should be the hated one here. I don't get it. If you want him to be a face, book him as a face.

LOL at Shane being blown up after his entrance. jfc

Did they cut out the gorilla position because they didn't want to show Vince watching?

omg that fan screaming "you're being really mean right now" while they're dragging Shane. Great stuff.

On par with RAW from last night if not better.

By the way, a nitpick that occurred to me during the show: Bobby Roode loses his title to Orton on Sunday, Orton is out there bragging about it, and Roode does his big grand entrance as usual. Shouldn't he, like, be upset? I guess it sort of works for his character to act unfazed by the situation, but it seems like it's pretty routine for wrestlers to just do an emotional no-sell of results that should have them pissed off.

Also, and this is probably related to why I was even thinking about the above, that was a strong bit of promo work by Big E tonight. He had kayfabe reason to be emotional and he let it loose. I continue to think that he can get to the top of the card if given the right opportunity to shine.

During Fast Lane, when The Bludgeoning Bros came out to interfere in the Usos/TND match, their music hit and they didn't just come to the ring, they did their full entrance where they stared at each other for a few seconds and then slowly came down to the ring after putting their mallets on their shoulders. To me, the entrance stuff doesn't make any sense in either situation. Also, Roode actually attacked Orton after the match at Fastlane but Orton went after Jinder after that match tonight. Pretty bad logic there.

It’s not a nitpick, I felt the same way. The giant grin on his face was ridiculous, and just so tone deaf

Bobby needs a heel turn badly. It would take a phenomenal set of circumstances for me to get remotely invested in that US title situation.

I've had the same criticisms of Asuka's streak since it was happening in NXT. She's a great performer but it's hard to buy into a random TV match with her since you know she won't lose unless it's at a PPV to a specific type of opponent. The other side of that coin is her big PPV matches with people you think might beat her (like her Ember Moon matches) have a ton of extra tension and drama. So I have high hopes for the Mania match even if the build will likely be so-so.

I also think she is a bit too over-the-top on the mic. Obviously the language barrier makes promos difficult, but I think it would be better if she didn't yell everything.

This was the best SD in forever, if nothing else because they didn't have words on the screen during any of the promos.

#fakenews

The Rusev/Lana and Bobby/Charlotte promos had their words on the screen.

I'm happy to know that I tuned into the best SD! in forever since I haven't watched one in probably over a year. I'll check out next weeks too . I think the tag angle and Charlotte/Asuka are the best things going but like you mentioned, the build will probably be meh. The match will be filled with tension.

+1 to this, I was either going to go to the show or almost certainly not even tune in, but since I ended up seeing it there's a good chance I'll be tuned in next week. Seems like I just hit some lucky timing with Indy getting one of the good Smackdowns.
