I’m in. I’m sure it’ll be meh, but whatever. No idea what the card is, and no clue what any of the current storylines are.

Apparently there’s an injury to Cody Rhodes, but he’s still advertised as appearing in a match vs Rollins. Weird.

Also, as per usual, the show opens with a lengthy intro video. I wonder what the live crowd does during this time.

Shows opens with the women’s triple threat match. I assume it’s in a cage, but not sure.

Becky Lynch ad Lady Gaga is one of the weirder aesthetic changes I can remember in recent wrestling.

Okay, it’s not in a cell. Let’s go Asuka (even though I think she’s 0% to win, much like Ruud in the French Open final this AM).

Triple threat matches are generally inferior, and this is looking that way so far. They always end up with a lot of random selling by one competitor outside the ring.

Asuka- tough as nails usually. Tonite, get thrown out of the ring once and can’t move for five straight minutes.

Back in the ring just in time to break up a pin, then back to the outside. Good work, Asuka. Really having a run here in WWE.

Those generally air in the arena too. The crowd usually isn't left blind to the videos or backstage segments or whatever.

Seems he has a torn pec and still at present, they don't know how severe it actually is. Apparently in a ton of pain backstage.

Becky does a rock bottom on Asuka, but Bianca throws her away to steal the pin. Asuka on the ground like she was a jibber for King Kong Bundy getting a five count. (Or Big E when he did that gimmick in NXT).

Now it’s a ling video package with MVP rapping. Omos vs Bobby Lashley now.

Wait- it’s two on one— Omos and MVP vs Lashley.

I had no idea. I think back in the 90s they tended to not show that stuff, but I could be wrong.

I think that was true at some point, but for instance if The Rock cut a backstage promo you would hear crowd reactions throughout. So I think at least starting in the Attitude Era they started showing these.

Been some years since I've been to a show, but it was still the case within the past decade that they showed backstage stuff on the board during Raw and SD. I'd be surprised if they stopped.

Lashley gets MVP in the full Nelson and he taps. I hope this ends his Omos feud, but I assume it’ll keep going.

That makes sense.

Kevin Owens vs Ezekiel, which I do know is the storyline about how Elias blah blah blah.

Ezekiel has a real 80s WWE look; I think it’s great.

ASUKA kills it every time. What a fantastic opener.

KO wins, but he’s still a loser because he doesn’t any answers on the Ezekiel / Elias question.

Edge with his minions of Ripley and Priest vs Liv Tyler, Fin. balor, and AJ Styles.

So far we’ve only had one 1 vs 1 match.

Oh snap- Corey graves with a “the ring must have shifted a few inches with that one” after someone was thrown into the corner.

He didn’t go full on Gorilla Monsoon with a claim of six inches, but it was great nonetheless.

Graves definitely likes to pay tribute to Monsoon. He tried to bust out "external occipital protuberance" one time, but stumbled over it pretty badly. And then he explicitly mentioned Monsoon.

Edge and friends won. I spaced out completely for the entire thing. Crowd was loud at the end, so maybe it was good; I dunno.

That’s great. I watch enough to know he likes old throwback stuff.

I’m watching 2013 NXT episodes and he’s a competitor then. It’s weird watching him, in part because he’s got kind of a dumb gimmick. It’s alllmmmoosttt okay, but for me at least, his punk thing feels silly (mostly because he wrestles in suspenders).

Baron Corbin vs this Mad Cop Mosley guy in a no holds barred match.

So far zero mention of the movie.

Alright, tuned in because I'm interested to see what happens with Rollins-Cody.

And then Baron Corbin was on my screen, so...I'll tune back in shortly.
