Time for yet another PPV. Don't worry, if you miss this one there will be another one in two ****ing weeks.
Sunday night's main event:
Okay, the wrestling main event
No, but really, here's the card:
WWE Title - Seth Rollins (c) vs. Randy Orton vs. Roman Reigns vs. Dean Ambrose
Rollins goes over here in some fashion. A Dean Ambrose heel turn would be total nonsense, but I suppose it could be in play since I don't really know why he's here; it's not like they can't have Orton take a pin.
The storyline for this match is painfully uninteresting (Kane is heavily involved) and the writing team behind the build for this match should be ashamed to collect a paycheck for it.
US Title I Quit Match - John Cena (c) vs. Rusev
John Cena in an "I Quit" match. Tough to figure how this one will go...
Decent ringwork potential since Rusev is great, but the likely Lana face turn will probably be painful, and the match (and accompanying storyline) looks incredibly predictable.
Tag Title Match, Best 2 of 3 Falls - New Day (c) vs. Tyson Kidd and Cesaro
The overwhelming favorite to be match of the night, and really the only thing about the show I'm truly interested in watching. New Day very likely retains, but even more likely is that this match will be a joy to watch no matter how it comes out.
King Barrett vs. Neville
These guys have been wrestling a ton already, but THIS TIME IT COUNTS BECAUSE IT'S ON A SUNDAY NIGHT. Should be a well-worked match, but one we've already seen before and that they haven't built any sort of worthwhile heat for.
Sheamus vs. Dolph Ziggler
Unlike Barrett-Neville they've at least made a half-assed attempt to build something for this one, but half-assed is all it is. Ziggler won last month, so Sheamus probably wins this month. Should be a decently-worked but generic match.
Bray Wyatt vs. Ryback
Ryback is the latest one to be sucked into Bray Wyatt's vortex of boredom. The nice thing is that a good worker isn't being wasted on Wyatt. The bad thing is that this is somehow a PPV match that we're being asked to watch if we tune in.
Bella Twins vs. Naomi and Tamina
The Bella Twins seem to have turned face recently via randomly coming out one show and smiling and waving instead of being mean or whatever, so I guess they're the good side here? Tamina just recently came back as a Naomi ally, and Nikki is the champion, so I guess the smart money is on the heels to win to set up a title shot for Naomi at the two-****ing-weeks-away PPV.
Overall
This show is overwhelmingly likely to be just okay. Overall ratings will most likely come out to the somewhat negative side since they probably won't do anything interesting in the main event, and that's most of what people rate the whole show on. You'll get more extreme reactions if the event ends on an Ambrose turn and/or a Reigns win, but neither of those are very likely.
