So it seems there's absolutely nothing else on television tonight so we're stuck with a WWE PPV: Apparently the Triple Threat WWE title match will curtain jerk the show, Saturday Night's Main Event style. Here's the card:

I'm reasonably interested in the two title matches, but there's no conceivable way this gets even a second of airtime over baseball and the debate.

What is the point of the pre show matches?

Why would you purposefully turn a three hour show into a four hour show every month.

Yep, plus fans just want to get there early anyway to ensure they are in before it airs anyway and it's just incredibly dull and boring during the "pre show". I couldn't believe it when I was there for summerslam. In between the two pre show matches there was just total silence in the arena. No music, no titantron promos, no simulcast of the preshow from the network. It was pretty torturous actually.

Part of a general strategy of appealing to the hardest of the hardcore to extract the most out of them. I've learned from Twitter that some people literally watch 25+ hours of wrestling every week of the year even though they don't get paid for it.

AA comes out "that guy looks like Kurt Angle"
She missed she hype bros. (well she didn't see their entrance, I won't say she missed them)
VV enter. "I like their name. It's 80's ish. But why is he so white?
Ascension. "Are these guys a cross between LOD and Demolition but worse?"

And earlier today I was reminded that I married up. This was icing on the cake.

I like the pre-title match announcements with no music, but I'm a bit surprised they do them since it has the ability to expose some of the crowd reactions that they're so often working to censor.
