A+. They can start an unsung heroes wing that includes the divas plastic surgeon, the people who gave Ric Flair up for adoption, and Pat Patterson's significant other that used to leak information to the Observer.

Watched the Rhodes/Flair rivalry last night. For some reason, they only have 7 of these episodes. Two are committed to Austin/McMahon and two are for Hardys/Edge&Christian. Only 2 are pre Attitude Era and only 1 is non-WWE. This series has such great potential, I don't understand why they stopped.

Hogan/Savage, Von Erichs/Freebirds.

They could even do more AE stuff like Rock/HHH or HHH/Foley. There's so much non-WWE stuff too.

The Rhodes/Flair thing was great because for me it was mostly about an era I only read about in magazines and didn't get to see on TV. Think my first NWA exposure on TV was around '87 which is about when this ends.

The one nit I had with it is it goes until Dusty beats Flair in '86 and then suggests that NWA went to hell after that and WWE immediately took their talent with Anderson and Blanchard leaving. They didn't leave until '88 so there was still another year or two where Flair got the belt back.

Loved that they covered the beginning of the Horsemen too. I'd never seen that footage of Dusty coming in to save Flair, but then the Horsemen "breaking his leg" in the cage and not being allowed to leave by the crowd. Would love to see a detailed documentary on their entire history at some point.

They probably could have more than 7 of those rivalry episodes just with Flair; Flair/Steamboat, Flair/Von Erichs, Flair/Magnum TA, Flair/Sting, Flair/Luger, Flair/Savage, Flair/Bischoff. I watched the Rhodes/Flair rivalry thing awhile ago and thought they could have made it a lot more interesting but was thinking it might have been targeted at people who knew less about it.

I thought they had a Hogan/Andre one but now can't find it. Am I crazy or maybe just thinking of the WM Rewind of WM3?

I have been trying to find the episode of Nitro where Bobby Heenan says his good bye to Monsoon after he passed away that week. Anybody know where I can find that clip?

Props to Heenan for keeping it together there even though he was really fighting it. No way I would have in his shoes.

Giddamn, you can see how much Bobby just hated that ****ing place.

Never was it clearer than the super awkward "I can't hear you way down here" moment when Schiavone tried to throw it to him on another episode. He definitely hated Tony's guts. He's confirmed as much since.

Does Bobby Heenan ever do public appearances any more? I know he's older and has dealt with serious, serious health challenges. But I've always wanted to thank him for how much joy he's brought to our small corner of the world.

He was at one point, but then dealing with tongue cancer started making it extremely difficult to talk. Not sure if they thought he would regain that ability or not. Pretty sad to hear about him having to battle so many issues.

This is from an appearance last year. Seems to be in rough shape but good spirits. Its a shame. I'm with you though. I'd love to have a few seconds to thank him

I'm just glad that he got to fully appreciate his moment of tribute as a WWE Hall of Famer. He paid tribute to Gorilla again during his speech there.

Wow - one of my all time favourites and I would've never recognized him from that clip. Even knowing who it is, I still can't see any resemblance.

Bobby broke a bone (again) from a fall in autumn 2014 and cancelled his appearances. Haven't heard anything since this.

If this characterization is overboard, let me know, but I hold Bobby Heenan to be one of the truly great comedic talents of the 20th Century, who happened use said talents in the wrestling industry. As in, he could have done very well in stand-up or the movies had he had that opportunity.
