It's just tedious. The first 30 minutes are ridiculously boring

I'm not the biggest fan either FWIW. I do think that it's a good match, but it's not on the high end of either guy's resume.

Survivor Series 92 is the superior Bret/Shawn match. But not a true classic either.

Yeah, that match is better. It's amazing how many people love that match. Very meh. Chop it down to a 10 minute ironman and have the last two minutes, then it's great.

20 years ago today Eddie Gilbert died. I'm hoping the Network gets their act together and starts showing episodes of past wrestling shows in order at a regular time, or at least has it like Netflix does with TV shows where you can conveniently watch them in order and keep track of where you are. Gilbert was so good at making his feuds interesting from week to week regardless of his role.

At this point I can't say that I understand their roll-out plan when it comes to their old library. Seems like they should just unload everything they've ever done onto the Network. Is there some way I don't realize that they can profit on slow rolling the really old (20+ years ago) stuff?

This is driving me nuts too. I want to go back and watch old early 80's chronologically and it just seems like these shows are scattered and they start from the latest working their way backward sometimes.

Wanted to watch old Freebirds/Von Erich stuff, but it starts at WCCW 43 then 46 then 48. What happened to 1-42?

Monday Nitro they only have through 1996! Why?

I was really hoping I'd be able to watch some old NWA stuff like early 80's Bunkhouse Stampedes and the earliest Great American Bash and War Games matches. I'm wondering if they even taped some of those old house shows they always used to promote on the Saturday shows like at the Omni. They used to sometimes show clips on the show so I'm guessing they have the footage.

How they are slow rolling makes no sense either. Almost nobody is going to be interested in one random mid-south episode out of context unless they watched and loved mid-south at the time. If they showed the whole year of WCW 1989 starting in January when Flair and Windham beat up Gilbert and he announced he had a mystery partner, and around the same time showed an old Flair/Steamboat match on Raw or Smackdown and said "You can see more of these two great wrestlers on WWE Network", they might get viewers and get people hooked on the matieral.

When Turner bought out Crockett in 1988, Cornette actually had the janitor call him if they were going to throw anything away and got a ton of mid-atlantic house show matches and excerpts from the 70s on film. He says in 1980 they started using tape.

It's crazy they don't capitalize on their library like at all, or understand what fans want out of it.

Or not, it's sort of how the wwe does business.

I can't imagine they have their entire backlog ready and digitized to just throw out all at once. I'd think they're releasing stuff as they get through digitizing and doing whatever else needs doing to get it 'network-ready'.

Yeah it's going to take a while before we get some of the obscure old stuff because the majority of their library is on tape so they have to convert it in real time. It's not like they can put a tape in the computer and press save as.

I actually did digitizing at a couple cable channels for a few years. It was the easiest job I've ever had and it paid well. Whoever is doing it for the WWE is pretty much just sitting in a room watching wrestling all day.

Showing a throwback match a week (hey, it's Hall of Fame season even, so fire up an old Rikishi match why not) seems like a spectacular move and I can't think of a single good reason not to do it.

Somebody needs to give them a reasonable order to do it in.

They say they have a hard time writing all the hours of TV, so why not show one of the greatest matches of Savage or anybody else going into the HOF. Perfect TV/Network tie in.

WWE's primary physician is suing CM Punk and Colt Cabana for defamation for comments that Punk made on Cabana's podcast. Suing for a healthy $1M. It's a fairly interesting case from what I've read but should be easy to make a judgment on. Punk never mentioned the WWE Dr. by name. He said that he went to AJ Lee's Dr for the correct treatment, so if Punk was telling the truth, it should be super easy to get thrown out.

1997 Bret vs Shawn was a BLINDING match up until the screw job. if anything, the existing ending is better than a lame double DQ.

WWE need to hire a few of you guys, seriously

Ive cancelled the network for a couple of months while overseas

Yeah Im watching every bit of content in order they have from the 70s and plan on going back to watch the old stuff as the bring it out

Got up to Wrestlemania 6 before I cancelled, Hogan vs Warrior still blew me away

It is annoying they havent rolled out more old stuff earlier for sure

I'm actually thinking of trying to get involved in wresting somehow. The business aspect of almost anything is tremendously boring to me, with wrestling being an exception.

Get in there!

Put a compilation of your forum posts in your CV!

It seems like WWE only hires ex wrestlers or Mcmahon friends and family though so good luck...

Easiest way to get into WWE is by getting a journalism degree and getting into mainstream TV news and getting a few years' worth of good performance reviews. Then make friends with someone on the inside.
