The Freebirds run in the WWF was really short because they somehow pissed Andre the Giant off, who came up to them and looked at Hayes and said "You're fired". Hayes replied with 'you can't fire me' and cut a promo on him ranting, and Andre said "You'll see. I'll walk into Vince's office and say either you go or I go."

But Hayes has been a major player backstage in WWE for ages now, and the Horsemen never wrestled as a team in WWF and they are in. The Freebirds are probably being kept out as a rib on Hayes so Vince and everyone can laugh at him.

Should curt henning be in? Let's assume that the hall of fame had a reasonable threshold for a moment and guys like koko b ware dont exist.

Yes

Hennig is in and should be in. Rick Rude should be in.

DiBiase/Hennig/Jake are all basically in the same tier in terms of historical profile, and I can't imagine any reasonable standard would leave any of them out.

Now that Macho is in and Sting is no doubt going in soon, who is the biggest omission? Owen is an obvious one, Vader should probably be in there as well. Sid was pretty big for a few years. I'm sure there's some old guys before my time. They seem to be running out of big "main attraction" inductees.

The Rock isn't in yet, so there's him whenever they feel like doing that.

Triple H is another. So between he and Rocky, that's two no-doubt headliners they can induct whenever they feel like they're lacking for a true big-time name to headline a class.

EDIT: Undertaker as well. Same type of thing as HHH and Rock; semi-retired, can induct as a headliner whenever he decides to officially be done. Somewhat similar situation with Jericho, who I think you can maybe use as a weak headliner a la DiBiase. Rey Mysterio Jr.

Chew up 4-5 more years that way and more wrestlers that are still active today might have hung it up and be ready for induction.

Completely forgot about The Rock. Undertaker is a lock for the year after he retires so I guess they have 3 or 4 years of headliners locked in. I don't think Goldberg should be in there but he's no doubt getting in eventually. He would probably get the headliner treatment.

No.

Now they are going to induct him five times the same year just to spite us: In NAO, in DX, as Road Dogg, as the Roadie, and for his drug fueled shoot interviews.

People are gonna sigh when I say this but Nash isn't in either yet.

Nash is unfortunately inevitable, but the thought of him as a headliner is pukeworthy. I'd suck the New Age Outlaws' dicks just to prevent such a thing from happening.

Some of the best old timers like Lou Thesz aren't in.

Kurt Angle has to be HOF one day if they can get past whatever bad blood is there. Probably spent too many years outside of WWE to be a headliner though.

I love hearing old stories. Always wondered why the freebirds were only in WWF for like 2-3 weeks

Just a quick off the top of my head:

Hillbilly Jim
Demolition
Kamala
Owen Hart
Jim the Anvil

Would like to see them inducted.

Demolition should absolutely be in. Guess I didn't realize that they weren't.

I assumed they were in too. Maybe politics with Darsow?

Demolition not being in is pretty crazy

Yeah I don't know. Darsow appeared on a Raw anniversary special as Repo Man in 2007 according to his Wiki page, so he left on good enough terms to reappear, but I guess something else could have happened since.

It's Bill Eadie who Vince forced out because of Eadie's health concerns, but I don't know if that was a hostile split or what.

Owen Hart's widow would probably never agree to his going in.
The Anvil probably only goes in as part of the Hart Foundation tag team.
Hillbilly Jim only if you're using the Koko B Ware logic that everyone gets in
Yes to the other two though. Wasn't the Demolition guy the Masked Superstar too?

Bret has expressed optimism about Owen going in soon. Hopefully it's not too far off at this point.
