I agree. She really has that it factor. And even if she doesnt get over. People will always enjoy shouting "woooooooo" whatever happens.

I'm guessing that they mean the rebranding of NXT as the true developmental system that is its current form today (around mid-2012), rather than the "game show" style it had when Bryan, Barrett, Wyatt, Axel, et al. were on it.

I still have a problem with calling Reigns an "NXT alum". He was on for like 2 or 3 episodes before debuting at Survivor Series, right?

When Reigns is anywhere near a mic it makes me feel very uncomfortable for some reason.

Finally watched REvolution. Great show. Really how wrestling should be. Good characters, simple but compelling stories, excellent ringwork. Also expertly done at the end, even having the final action after the REvolution credits tag appeared. I do wonder if it was TOO good that lots of people may have already turned it off before it happened.

I can't get mad at the Roman/NXT thing. I think it's less about the TV show and more about the training center and Full Sail environment. That's a very different thing than what Bryan went through.

What's dumb is that I think they thought that would somebody get NXT fans to like him, which is a pretty bad misread on the NXT fans.

Looks like they've started adding some old Tuesday Night Titans and Prime Time Wrestling to the library. Tuesday Night Titans is before I started watching, but Prime Time has a significant amount of Heenan/Monsoon comic gold on it; unfortunately it's just two episodes up so far.

"I stand to make a lot of money on this match!"

"What if you don't"

"I can't think that way..."

Neville/Kevin Owens this week on NXT was quite good.

Listened to Jim Cornette say awhile ago that current wrestling is like that hot girl who goes on a date with you, then tells you that she doesn't want to **** you or have anything to do with you but will take the free meal. Steen/Owens in NXT is an exception. Heel that actually performs like he wants to be a heel, serious intense angle, faces that actually can sell, announcing that adds to the angle rather than detracts from it.

I have a feeling that happened to Jim quite a lot.

I think I'm realizing that the thing I like most about NXT is that these guys all have different personalities. There are very few generic characters (like WWE is littered with) and the ones who are closest are such tremendous in ring talents that they can afford it most. I'm still like 5 months behind catching up, but so far the only guy I fast forward is that Big Cass goon.

It is odd that NXT is the minor league developmental territory but is a such a better product in so many ways than the supposed main big leagues.

Watched the most recent NXT today. It definitely seems to have a far better booking vision than the main brand, not to mention a lot of great talent. Eyebooger was right that I should be spending my weekly wrestling time on that if anything.

Is Enzo back from his injury in your timeline? I think he makes sense of the goonishness.

Enzo just returned 2 weeks/shows (or 2 nights) ago for me. Yes, he makes the other big dope a bit bearable.

the story sounded, familiar, then i remembered something i saw on reddit over a month ago.

http://www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircl..._out_of_touch/

Quote:
Vince came up to HHH and tells him he wants to bring in Adrian Neville as Mighty Mouse. HHH, just tries to placate Vince and water down his craziness and says, yeah, we can bring him in as a smaller underdog type character like Mighty Mouse and that he will get creative to work on some designs.

Then the next week in a meeting, HHH shows Vince the costume designs complete with a mask and cape, and Vince just looked at them and says "Where are his ears?". HHH says What ears? Vince says "His mouse ears. No one is going to believe this guy is Mighty Mouse without mouse ears!" Then he sighs really loud and mutters that Mighty Mouse is probably too expensive to get the copyright on anyway...

It's like I said in the Raw thread tonight: Vince won't be happy until everybody's in an animal costume.
