Did you watch Canadian Stampede?
Starting the Main Event now. Austin coming out to massive heat.

He was, to point all the way back to that match. Apparently after one of the Diesel vs. Bulldog IYH main events that year though, Vince McMahon actually got up from the announce table after the PPV went off the air and yelled at Nash right in front of the live crowd about how awful and boring he was in the main event. I don't know quite why it took so long for that reign to end. It was the reign where time stopped.

You actually aren't, but you should be. Hopefully, it is dead last on their list of items to upload (or better yet, hopefully NBC owns the rights).

I see almost no chance of them ever uploading those, the XFL is just an embarrassing failure on Vince McMahon's record.

For what ever reason, I watch the Lawler heart attack episode over the last few days. It is a legit creepy watch.

And heel moves (eyerakes, low blows, etc) getting massive face pops is amazing as well.

TradeOC felt that people should gain respect for Lawler due to him having a heart attack.

I'll always respect heel commentator Lawler. Creepy old man Lawler not so much.

Yes, heel commentator Lawler was good, but he also died over 15 years ago.

Did the XFL make it an entire season with championship game?

Yep. Former Steelers journeyman starting QB Tommy Maddux was the MVP.

XFL only played 1 season. It's amazing that they were able to finish an entire season. The very first game received monster ratings but then it immediately nose dived the next week and ended up putting up some of the lowest ratings in Network TV history. Surprisingly, attendance records were actually respectable. TV ratings killed it though.

one game actually had THE lowest rating in TV history.

Quite incredible actually

Yea you know it's gotta be bad if the hardcore wwe fans didn't even keep the TV ratings afloat

Why would they? It was football. What's more pathetic is that hardcore football fans didn't even keep the TV ratings afloat. The first game was boring and the league received horrible press. Hardly anyone even tuned in after the first game.

Watching Survivor Series 1997. Owen Hart's shirt is incredible: "Owen 3:16. I just broke your neck". Amazing blur between real life and Kayfabe.

Ive heard so many good things about this but could not find it the couple times I searched for it on the network. Going off memory there is nothing titled IYH Canadian Stampede. Also going off this thread one person said 96 and another said 97. Now Im even more confused!

I watched World War 3 97' this morning. Cant say I regret it either. The one thing that caught me off guard was before the Steve McMichaels Golderg match they made it to where Mongo blindsided him backstage with a lead pipe. Ok, fine. Unless I totally missed something Goldberg was never in the 60 man battle royal after they talked about him being one of the entrants. Again i wasnt paying close attention, but Im pretty sure they just went on not mentioning it and him being replaced in the match unannounced/unmentioned. Please somebody tell me I'm wrong and just losing my sanity because jfc that makes no sense.

It was definitely July 1997. The graphic shows Bret/Owen/Bulldog on the front.

Watching some Raws from 94' right now at random. Ended up on the "Coin Toss" episode where there is a coin toss between Hart and Luger to determine who gets first crack at Yokozuna for the strap at WM.

The biggest thing I noticed was that Raven had a WWF gimmick back in the day called Johnny Polo? I had no idea, though I'm not entirely surprised.

I couldn't help myself but to jump straight to Mania 94' after that ep. So, Owen goes over clean on Bret, but Bret still gets a world title shot? Also, Bret 100% tapped to the sharpshooter before losing shortly after. Had to rewind to make sure I wasn't going crazy and I wasn't. Tapped clear as day that was just ignored.
