I've got the Earthquake/Yoko sumo match waiting for me when I resume Raw tonight. Actually pretty excited about it. Remember watching that live.

Well the sumo match was a work. Too bad.

It was preceded by a promo of Duke Droese sleeping in the back of a garbage truck. So that's good.

Oh lord. The next episode starts with Vince explaining to us that Yoko Banzai Dropped Earthquake at a house show in the last week, and thus he will be unable to compete in his King of the Ring qualifier against Owen Hart.

The Demolition/Powers of Pain double turn was executed really confusingly, and it's entirely WWF's fault that the Powers of Pain still got a big pop (not a contrarian pop) when they won right after turning heel.

How are you viewing that you can see when the new stuff drops? I get so lost in the Peacock app. Beyond that top bar, I can't tell what's new to the network.

Reddit WWE Network has an automated thread that lists what was uploaded that day.

With regard to new classic content, it just uploads on the third Monday each month so I look for it then. But obviously they throw up newer stuff all the time. Peacock is definitely a mess.

2003 Word Life rookie Cena started to get mad heat in April 03. Very entertaining

He actually went over the Undertaker in Smackdowns April 10th 2003 main event wow

Has there ever been a more contrasting juxtoposition of terrible to amazing theme songs used in a match than the Wrestlemania 7 Main Event?

Sgt Slaughter's grating military drumroll vs Hogan's arguably GOAT Real American

Right to Censor was fun to pretend to like in order to troll the **** out of my friends.

Woman starts undressing, Right to Censor music kicks in. Me: "OH THANK GOD. They saved us from ourselves." Friends unfailingly got pissed at me despite how transparent my trolling was. I'm fairly sure they thought I actually liked RTC.

Some of us need that. So its conceivable they'd have some fans.

They would complain about RTC’s music, and I conceded that it would be better if there was a voice track at the beginning of Steven Richards saying, “It’s time to be moral.” Then the sirens could kick in.

If RTC existed now instead of during one of the best main event scenes in the early 2000's, I would think they'd strap Steven Richards with how over that gimmick was

I just remember how the WWF No Mercy devs completely trolled everyone with RTC.

All throughout development, The Big Show was expected to be on the roster by the time of the game's release. They made him a major character in the innovative championship mode that featured varied, branching storylines (truly groundbreaking stuff at the time). Weeks before release, Big Show was sent down to Ohio Valley Wrestling, so the game devs swapped his character slot with Steven Richards. All the dialogue and storylines (such as the WM 16 fatal four way) remained untouched.

This made Steven a hilariously influential character in the game, and of course ensured that any player heard that intro music CONSTANTLY.

I happened to wake up in the middle of the night to a Waylon Mercy jobber match. Intriguing, obviously, but I didn't want to fully come out of sleep so laid my head back down. Then I heard Vince say "Jeff Hardy". So I looked up at this skinny kid in long long white trunks, and sure enough it was Jeff Hardy. I didn't know he was a jobber.

The amount of jobber matches in the early days of Raw is nuts. One hour a week. 3 jobber matches. Then like Adam Bomb vs El Matador.

Hardy lied about his age to get that WWE jobber work early in his career. I believe he was only 16 years old in some of his earliest appearances.

A wrestler basically never gets pinned by a flying cross-body. But when their opponent rolls through a cross-body and turns it into their own pinning combo? That is, for some ****ing reason, one of the most inescapable pinning combos in wrestling.

Ever seen a sunset flip succeed?

Not sunset flip. I cant think of what its called when they're back to back with arms locked and one rolls the other over the top into a pin.

A backslide? Yeah I'm blanking on any example of a backslide actually getting a three, even though announcers always sell the **** out of it as an inescapable pin attempt.

Best use of a backslide is Owen Hart ribbing HHH in a Royal Rumble by pinning him down with a backslide and refusing to let him go despite pins not being a thing in Rumbles. That's hilarious to me. Not sure it was caught on camera unfortunately; HHH has just talked about it.
