Matt V 1.0 was great. Pretty sure everybody loved that one.

I wasn't watching week-to-week in 02/03 but when thinking back on the highlights they're almost all from the SD! 6. Though, Shawn/HHH @ SSlam and the first EC were great.

Possibly unpopular opinion: I am a huge fan of Superstar Billy Graham's call at Summerslam 88

The Fink deserved an Emmy for his acting performance in the prematch for Warrior vs Honky Tonk

Cutting promos is one thing since both were top-level at that, but guys like Superstar Graham or Dusty Rhodes are not what I ever wanted to hear in the broadcast booth over the course of an entire broadcast. Ditto Bruno Sammartino, except take away the compliment about promos.

I beg to differ

Lol that clip is classic

I think those guys would wear a little thin if we had to listen to them every month but as one off features, they are gold.

Underrated Theme song alert.

These guys could have gotten over huge if they had their push continued. Their entrance and match against the Bolsheviks was awesome at Summerslam 88

There were good moments with Dusty on commentary, but for instance this one amuses me while also not being a great look. He basically takes a run at Tony for having bothered to learn the names of moves.

That Powers of Pain theme is solid, but it's definitely only a babyface theme. Double turn with Demolition probably put them in the best position for a continued push, because I think it would have been difficult to get the fans to strongly take the side of the Powers of Pain in that feud, and you otherwise already have the Hart Foundation and then the Rockers as babyface teams.

I wonder if whoever got Elizabeth's detached dress bottom (thrown by Hogan into the crowd in the Summerslam 88 Main Event) still has it

Sean Ohaire Devils Advocate/Libertarian gimmick has some amazing vignettes

I'm guess they **** this up though...

Tully Blanchard's tentative avoiding strut to tag in Volkoff (in order to avoid facing Barbarian) during the the tag team survivor series match in 1988 was masterful heel work

They had Roddy Piper manage/talk for him, so yes

That would be a fun gimmick for Windham Rotunda to take on when he re-debuts wherever, though

Doink would actually be an awesome gimmick in the current scene.

Yeah, but which one? Mo Doink, Mabel Doink, Luke Doink, or Butch Doink?

Wow, I just read his whole wiki page. That Doink lore runs DEEP.

It may have worked as well as it did because the original Doink portrayer was deeply disturbed as well.

My brother became friends with Matt Borne in his last couple years. Quite a fellow! We loved him in Portland.
