This will end up being a disaster for anyone who is an old school fan. I could see a lot of Piper's stuff being cut out on Peacock. His WM6 match, most of Piper's Pit, they will cancel culture the **** out of WWE. I'm going to go on a buying spree and just buy up all of the DVDs of the stuff that I want to watch and get back on the tape trading scene.

I'm not seeing the Peacock app on Fire Stick. Was already on the fence with nothing at Mania feeling must see this year, but this decision may have been taken out of my hands. Seems like a pretty large omission on their part unless I'm just somehow missing it in my search.

I mean, I may not agree with it, but when a company buys the rights to programing or content, I don't see why they aren't at liberty to change it how they see fit.

This. Though it’s truly unfortunate that the pressure to hold offensive content to account bends toward a pressure to outright censor. Whitewashing history is not a noble goal.

But as things stand, it’s easy to see why NBC just doesn’t want to abide the headache of keeping that stuff up if they see it as more likely to lose them money than gain them money. Obviously they’re not obligated to stream content they don’t want to.

I think they do. That would be the "more likely to lose them money than gain them money" part.

I'm not at all certain that that calculation is even correct, but it's surely the calculation they made. Massive corporations don't make these sorts of business decisions based on the actual morality of the issue.

FYI, you can subscribe to a VPN and access the normal WWE Network in every other country and everything is there. Only in the United States of China is the "inappropriate" stuff censored.

WWE network stopped completely for me last nite.

Huge bummer, as Peacock is missing the old stuff I want, and a nightmare to browse.

I'm really hoping the interface / organization improves, but I don't know what their plan is.

Yeah, I would probably be just dropping Peacock until they populate the archive if not for the fact that I've missed having The Office available on-demand and will certainly continue to make use of that. And I'm sure I'll tune in for WrestleMania.

The Peacock network, at least right now, is useful if you just want to watch a little wrestling and aren't super picky.

If you open it up with the goal of watching a specific thing (which is what I'm usually doing), it's pretty frustrating.
