They had to stop using it, so they definitely started using a tag belt, which was dumb because the tag belts WWF had then were pretty distinctive. I was 14 at the time and definitely knew 100% it was a tag belt. They would censor it, but you could catch glimpses.

Love the WWE Network. So many different things I want to do. I have settled on watching every WM in order, and also watched the SCSA doc, def very worth watching if you haven't seen it, and the Legends Roundtable on Worst Characters which brought the lulz, and NXT Arrival.

Hadn't watched WM 1 or 2 in quite a while, jesus they are so much worse than 3. Of course I am very nostalgic for 3, because I became a fan between 2 and 3, and didn't get to watch 3 live, and remember hassling my folks every day to take me to the local video store to see if it was ready to rent yet. The day when that big black Coliseum Video box was on the shelf was a pinnacle of my childhood. Probably watched it 5 times before we returned it, then rented it another 10 times or so.

Just watched Summerslam 2002, very great show from top to bottom. I had seen Brock/Rock and HBK/HHH before, but it also has:

Rey/Angle
Edge/Guerrero
RVD/Benoit

Which are all great, it's nice seeing these guys still young/alive.

They also had age 31 Jericho tap out to age 53 Flair basically clean. Pretty disgusting how bad they jobbed Jericho out after Mania that year.

Wrestlemania X8 : Jericho loses to HHH. (HHH 2-0 career vs Jericho.)
Backlash: Jericho left off card.
Judgment Day: Jericho loses to HHH. (HHH 3-0 career vs Jericho, their last match.)
KOTR: Jericho loses to RVD. (Four years before RVD won his first non-ECW world title.)
Vengeance: Jericho loses to Cena. (Cena's debut PPV match.)
Global Warming: Jericho loses to Edge. (Four years before Edge won his first world title.)
SummerSlam: Jericho taps to Flair. (Age 53 Flair whose biggest win that year was against Vince McMahon at the Rumble.)

SummerSlam 02 is heralded, by most, with WM 17 as best ppv of all time.

Brag: I've never seen WM 1 or 2. Never will.

I also haven't seen 18-24 in full. Have never seen HBK vs Flair from 24. Gonna have to get on that some day.

Meh, WM 1 is a fun watch just as a historical artifact. Obviously not worth a bunch of repeat viewings or anything, but I've seen it twice and generally found it watchable. Still, I'd give it more historical rewatch value than say...Rock vs. Cena.

WM 2 is mostly an unforgivable abortion, but Dream Team-Bulldogs is quite good.

It's a small thing, but I love how they use to show the guys walking from the locker room to the guerilla position. They did it for Shawn/Bret at Survivor Series 97 and Austin/Shawn at WM 14. It builds so much suspense for the match, I wish they would start doing it again.

Agreed. Even Goldberg's entrance in WCW where he walked through the back was pretty cool. Just show guys doing their thing before they hit the ring would make it more fun.

This was done a lot for Misawa/Kobashi/Kawada/Hansen match iterations in the 90's because of how important the matches were and it was awesome.

It's gorilla position, named after Monsoon. But yeah I agree, I like that too.

Getting this itch to watch all the ECW ppvs in order. There's gotta be some must watch matches in there. Off the top of my head the only I can think of is Hayabusa/Hakushi vs Sabu/RVD from Heatwave 1998. Not having any ECW on that list is depressing.

Also, the network having a RAW preshow is awesome. If RAW aired live over here I'd for sure watch it live and give ratings because of the preshow.

I can't imagine NEVER watching WM 1 or 2, just for the historical value, and plenty of unintentional lulz. WM 1 isn't terrible, it is just funny how the pacing and everything is so much worse then, plus leading off with two basic jobber matches. Also only 2 matches longer than 7 minutes. Also hilarious how incredibly awful Lord Alfred Hayes is at live interviews.

WM 2 has basically no good wrestling other than Bulldogs/Dreams, and a semifun JYD&Chico vs The Funks tag, but is worth seeing once. Holy crap there are some bad refs tho, and the ring announcer in Chicago is pure AIDS.

You've being very kind; you didn't even mention Elvira's work as a celebrity color commentator.

Her tits at least partially offset that. I am partial to the VKM-Susan St James interaction where Vinny Mac wants to **** her clearly, and he is talking to her about the Hogan-Bundy cage match and she's like "pssshhh Hogan is obviously winning" and Vince is like "well but Bundy is 450 lbs" and "well Hogan's ribs are hurt" and she just no-sells it all and anyone who doesn't think Hogan is winning is stupid.

Was able to resolve. went to my account on wwe.com; turned on parental control; turned off parental control. reboot the roku, and now all ppv's show up. just in case anyone else has this issue. Only seeing some not all of the ppvs

Haha I watched WM2 last night and this was hilarious. I thought all the female announcers were pretty funny, show was terrible though except for Bulldogs match.

Network is awesome, I watched the first few RAWs and am now working my way through every PPV, just finished Starrcade 86.

Watching ECW One Night Stand 2006 now. This might be the greatest crowd of all time, Heyman's promo to open the show is pretty awesome too.

I always want to not like any of ECW because its fans were just so hipster and indyrific.

But obviously it had its share of great stuff.

ECW is my favorite promotion ever just because of the atmosphere. PWG is a close second.

Taker/HBK @ 25 is on live right now

I mean it was a Philadelphia-based organization, it was the same blowhards packing that bingo hall who cheered wildly at Michael Irvin's career-ending neck injury. They were never as clever as they thought they were. And they cheered Tommy Dreamer and Sandman wildly for whatever reason.

But again, ECW had a whole bunch of awesome workers at least come through if not set up there for a long time, so obviously there's plenty to like.

You didn't watch ECW when it was happening, did you? Guarantee you have a different opinion if you had.

I did once my local Fox Sports started picking it up. '96 or so.

Sandman and Dreamer were not cheered wildly?

Angle/Orton was really good. His wrestling machine gimmick was great.

Growing up in NYC area I had opportunity to go to ecw events as a kid and stay up till 2am to watch the weekly show on TV. Words really can't do it justice. Just a crazy experience every time. I was at the event at sportsfest on Staten Island where the riot broke out and the wrestlers basically beat up fans lol. Good times.

Any other music they don't use? I know over the years they've used crappy alternate music in place of Demolition and Jive Soul Bro, among others.
