Quick question, I'm planning to make use of my free month and watch Wrestlemania monday evening, do I need to be worried about getting spoiled on the network while looking for the VOD?

I could be missing something, but I can't see a way that you would get spoiled just by logging onto the Network.

Perhaps if you have to go through the app you might see something you don't want to?

Oh, right, the phone app could be a problem. If you're using the web client straight from network.wwe.com, or an app on Apple TV or PS4, I couldn't see a spoiler coming up.

Nah. As a European who can't watch them live (at least not if I want to show up for work the next day), I watch all the PPVs on the following Monday evening and they've never been spoiled for me. The thumbnails are typically just the ppv-posters and not anything revealing.

Edit: Yea, I have no idea about the phone app. I only use it through network.wwe.com.

I’m at the HOF induction. In the green room as a guest of one of the inductees. Surreal.

El kabong famously got the end of the streak spoiled for him by logging into the network iirc. You should be fine though, I’ve done it plenty of times and never been spoiled.

I don’t remember that, so I went and looked at some pictures. It looked like they taped over them for whatever reason.

Thanks guys, sounds like there shouldn't be a problem.

Can't say I really understand putting Bam Bam & Luna over Doink & Dink at WrestleMania X. Once you're lowering Bigelow to a comedy match, there's no heat to protect, and even if you didn't want him eating a pin you can have a schmozz, Luna could lose, whatever. It's also a bit confounding from the standpoint that it directly followed Owen pinning Bret clean in the opener, after which you would presumably want a babyface pick-me-up for the crowd.

I mean, I don't even slightly care on behalf of the faces in this match of course, but just found it interesting from a booking perspective.

After letting WM X run, the autoplay sent it to WM XI.

It's stunning just how little WM XI even comes across as an actual WrestleMania. For all of WM IX's flaws, I would not describe it as "barely comes across as an actual WrestleMania."

Agreed. Im actually a bit XI apologist, but looking back on it it feels like almost any other regular monthly ppv

Diesel-Shawn at XI is an underrated match that I think reaches four stars.

I have no other kind things to say about the show, except I guess that LT is surprisingly good by non-wrestler standards.

Enjoyed it. Highlight of the show. Agree on LT.

Unfortunately the Diesel-Shawn match is harmed by the clear botch where the top turnbuckle was exposed and then Shawn only makes it to the still-covered second turnbuckle on a catapult, completely changing the dynamic of the ending away from what was supposed to happen.

We're all fine not asking for follow up on this?

He said in another thread that he was going to write up a TR.

Eddy, in case the lack of response made it seem like there wasn't interest, I'm definitely interested to read about your experience and I'm sure many others will be too.

I’ll do it tomorrow. I legit had maybe 3 hours of sleep the entire weekend. Finally getting back to normal.

Ok here’s the trip report:

As everyone knows I had reached out to Brutus 2 years ago to have dinner for my 40th. We ended up keeping in touch thereafter, but I never had any expectations for anything. Fast forward to a few weeks ago, and I’m sitting on my couch when my phone rings and it’s Brutus. Him and his lovely wife called to tell me he just got the call for the HOF and if I would like to be their guest at the show. Uh yeah!

So I had to wear a suit for the induction ceremony, and I got to the hotel where WWE was staying approx 2pm on Saturday. We all got bracelets to go into the green room, it was pretty surreal. Kane was next to us while we waited for the buses, other wrestlers were there but I didn’t really recognize all of the newer people.

So we arrive at the Barclays Center and go into this HUGE elevator that is big enough for a few buses. It was an unbelievable scene.

Then we went to this preparty where I saw The Big Show, Natalie, Steamboat, Slaughter, Billy Corgan, The Miz, Abyss, Billy Gunn and a bunch of others.

Then we started to go towards the stage. Shane McMahon was behind me when we were walking and said what’s up to me. My seats were right behind Linda McMahon. Here are some pics I got.

After Brutus did his speech, I hung around to watch Harlem Heat and then I went back stage, so we missed DX. I got to take a pic with the newly inducted Brutus.

After that we went back to the hotel bar until 4am, everyone you can imagine was there. Bret, Pat Patterson, Lawler, Strowman, xpac, Natalie, the Hart kids. Let me just say that everyone I met was incredibly nice. I didn’t ask anyone for a pic or anything, just basically introduced myself as a friend of Brutus and asked how they were. It was amazing.

The next morning I was up at 8am to get back to the hotel to catch the bus to Wrestlemania. Had the weirdest conversation of my life with Virgil. All of the talent was already at Met Life by the time I got to the hotel, their buses left at 9am. So off to Wrestlemania we were. Had my wristbands for Wrestlemania and the after party.

We went between the suite and our seats. The after party started at 11, so I left before the Roman Reigns match. The after party was something else. Talked to Booker T, Brutus introduced me to Bret which was really cool. The food was amazing, and it was cool to just be sitting there amongst that type of talent.

The best thing was at 4am at the after party Brutus said to me, “Did you ever think 2 years ago when you sent me that email, that you would be sitting here today? You never know what can happen when you reach out to somebody.” Man that message was life changing for me. I felt on top of the world, and I know I’ve mentioned it before, but Brutus and his wife are the nicest people and I’m super grateful and appreciative that they would even think of me for his induction.

So I think that pretty much does it.

I can't even imagine how awesome and surreal something like that would be.

What an awesome TR.

Also, no surprise that your weirdest ever conversation was with Virgil. I bet most people who have talked with Virgil have a similar feeling.
