Took Fat Joe a whopping 1 match to seriously injure someone, Ryback would be impressed

Damn Kidd's had such a rough time with injury and was finally starting to find his place on the roster. This really sucks if it's the end of the line.

I found the new prank show on the network entertaining. Although obviously not entertaining enough to remember the name.

Have they uploaded anymore old Raws on the Network? Again, I don't have it and probably will never get it.

If they haven't, that's really lame. I mean, yeah, it would be great to watch the old PPVs, but half the fun is following the story lines.

They have all of the eps up from the start (1993) through early 1997, then pick back up in late 1997 and have the eps through mid-1999.

I don't understand how the newest one can't be on the Network immediately, or within hours of it airing live.

They have contracts with USA and Hulu.

Figured it must have something to do with other contracts. Still seems dumb to me, though.

It makes sense. What incentive do you have to watch on usa if it's online 8 hours later

Never thought of it like that. Silly me.

Only makes sense for USA though. WWE should be more concerned about their network numbers and the lack of RAW is a reason why I am not a regular subsrcriber. I dont even have USA anymore, I only have the fios sports package.

Well WWE isn't airing Raw on USA for charity. They're being compensated for it, I assume quite well. Not sure how long their current contract is, but breaching that contract in hopes of getting more network buys is incredibly unlikely to be profitable.

WWE's TV contract with USA is huge; the largest source of revenue they have by a lot. They have a deal to show abridged episodes of Raw on Hulu as well.

This, WCW died because they couldn't get TV. TNA will die shortly because they can't get TV. This industry is 100% built around having a network contract. Without it, there is not nearly enough money to do anything.

They should still offer the newest RAW/Smackdown episodes on the network to those regions where there is currently no (legal) way of watching these.

A lot of the world has a lot less incentive to sub to the network when what they get is live ppvs, but the RAW/Smackdowns that build the stories for those ppvs are months old.

They die/died because they suck(ed), not because they are not on TV. Not being on TV is a consequence of sucking. So yeah - it is related/interwoven, but the main problem is the low quality of the product.

Either way, I see your point. But as a Network subscriber I simply don't care about that. If I subscribe to the WWE network, I expect the WWE flagship show to be on there. Otherwise I won't subscribe unless it is a PPV I really want to see, which is very rare these days.

Especially as Vince always compared the Network to the Oprah Network, saying that Oprah's biggest mistake was not to put the Oprah Show on there and that he won't make this mistake.

But then again, I also expect a proper Video Player / App and I buried that hope a long time ago. I can only speak for the Android App on my Galaxy tab - but the app still sucks as much as it did a year ago...

Watching SS 89 today, because why not, when I noticed something. They were showing the build up for Hogan/beefcake vs savage/Zeus. Some of the clips were from superstars of wrestling. But when they showed the clips, they had "of wrestling " blurred out, so it just said superstars lol. Anybody else notice anything like that on the older ppvs or shows?

Been watching all the old SNME's. I wish they would upload more from 1992...

That's so weird. It's like Vince is Michael Jackson in the 80s trying to dye his skin white and denying his identity.

Vince McMahon hates wrestling more than anyone on earth.

Im finished with 1991 now and in the middle of watching WCW Superbrawl 2

Was an awesome surprise to get Jesse Ventura introduced at COTC in January 91, and a treat to listen to him now in his 1st return PPV

One thing that I found interesting over 91/92 WCW was the watering down of the DDT

It was always this devastating unkickoutable move for me growing up and to see every other superstar using it as a standard move is pretty wierd

I guess this was one way of WCW undermining one the big WWF stars of the time, or just the natural progression of wrestling becoming more extreme as the norm

Finally done with Superbrawl 2

The amount of heat Rick Rude took in his prematch promo vs Ricky Steamboat was amazing, never seen anything like it

They drowned him out
