Hearing Vince McMahon do that trademark over-the-top HYUK HYUK HYUK at Rocco's comments during an LOD squash match is a real low point.

As a kid, the family drama build for Bret vs. Bulldog at SummerSlam '92 fell completely flat. Even that young, I just rolled my eyes and thought, "Whatever, they're going to make up after the match anyway." Always felt like they may as well have just given it a generic face vs. face build like Piper vs. Hart at Mania.

Whoever decided to get the WCW Varsity Club back together in the year 2000 deserved to be fired...

On the plus side, its nice that Nitro has been trimmed back to 2 hrs, 1and a half hrs of mostly crap watch time feels more manageable

Talk about ****ting all over the competition. WWF up their ****ing game in 99/2000

The charisma factor of their superstars is through the roof compared to WCW at this time, even in the lower midcard

2Cool and Hardcore Holly > Nash and DDP

Looking forward to Royal Rumble 2000 and the following Wrestlemania

Also sorta keen to see how low WCW can go. I had hope when they made Terry Funk commissioner bit then Nash takes over in 2 seconds...

Jericho scene stealing, Rock GOAT micing, Peak Push Big Show, Mankind in a Cactus Jack rebirth, destroying the stick, HHH in well played ahole champ mode, Hardy goatness, EdgeChristian in afterthought talent phase but still amazing form, DX super solid, Chyna and Divas awesome, 2cool/Rikishi lolness, Acolytes bar brawl vignettes, no one giving a **** about one of the goats British Bulldog, Hardcore title scene ramping up

Who da **** even needs Steve Austin who was injured and had spine surgery at this time, wow

Obviously the match still ended up working out really well (despite Bulldog arriving at the ring and having no idea what they had planned out), but the Bret-Bulldog build was odd. It was just a bunch of stand-alone promos of people saying, "Welp, that family is in heavy drama, they might even be torn apart," but the two guys never faced off in a heated face-to-face or anything prior to SummerSlam '92.

They built similar heat between Piper and Hart nicely earlier in the year, but if they had any inkling prior to traveling overseas that they were going with Hart-Bulldog last, it's amazing that they never devoted a single angle to it.

This is true.

Ironically, I'm extremely thankful that this is only a four to five hour event (pre-show included).

You or anyone else can feel free to.

If we get close enough to showtime without a thread then I'm happy to throw one up, but I'm a pretty poor OP-maker for today's PPVs given how little I know of the weekly stories right now. Figured I'd leave it in the hands of someone who might do better.

I'm too scared. And I've not watched either show for the past few weeks.

Match is so very good. One of the greatest in WWE history. Even the video package just before the match was god tier.

Also, Steph looked really good at RR 2000.

Did wesrwood really have a thing for Tamina way back when or was that a myth that just kept growing?

Its interesting that the guy who played Akeem was named George Gray.

Gray is a intermediate color between black and white. Gray was a white guy playing a character who thought he was a black guy
