The CW Title had more memorable feuds and I'm guessing the average fan would have cared more about it more often. The only TV Title feud that lives in my memory from that era is Booker vs. Benoit.

This is the right answer. The TV title was a hold over from the 80's when it actually meant something. The CW was the title that had all of the actual talent at WCW vying for it

Tuned into the network last night hoping to catch up on some NXT before bed. Fall Brawl 98 was airing live at the time, so I made the regrettable decision to tune in to see what was going on around that time. Scott Hall vs K-Dog during an angle that I must have blocked out of my mind and then remembered that both companies actually did over-exaggerating angles playing on the real life chemical dependencies of talent at the time.

Lol at Disco Inferno's "Chart Buster" finisher being a direct rip off of the Stone Cold Stunner

This had to be a smartass way to try and delegitimise Stone Cold

How dare toy besmirch the athletic prowess of the Regal/Iukea feud

Chris Jericho really coming into his own in early 98 after turning heel

Doing some lol things like trying to wrestle with his belt on and having meltdowns at the end of matches he lost

Hes getting more mic time and pulling out some funny lines and wrestling crisp too

Fall Brawl 98 is the kind of thing I would take over the MYC (which I didn't watch a single second of) every single time.

Snow

2 Cold always put on great matches. Same with RVD. 2 Cold's 95/96 ECW run was great.

TV title had a decent peak but it was short lived.

CW was always quality. Just a tremendous division from top to bottom.

They really made the tv title seem like it was a top tier belt in the late 80's when Muta, Sting, Luger, Nikita had it. I think it felt that way until late 92/early 93 when Orndorff and Scott Steiner had it. The five champions prior to them were Austin, Steamboat, Windham, Anderson, and Eaton. What a drop off.

He seemed so devoted to Cold Stone too.

Lol yep

Nice long angle from Vince getting some good shots of Tyson cheering as Stone Cold won the Rumble

It was a believable turn of allegiance after Austin disrespected Tyson on the previous weeks Raw where they almost came to blows

I find myself constantly wincing during Chris Benoit matches

Everything he does in the ring seems like it really hurts

...have you heard spoilers on how his career ended?

Unfortunately yes

I had watched literally none of his work until the network came out. The only thing I knew about him was that he was a champ and he killed his family while having a brain that looked 80+ years old

I wince at every head knock he takes because of this

I mainly wince at how realistically painful his offensive moves look though. That short clothesline always seems to catch people on their neck at speed, his brutal chops, the snap almost every other move has is amazing to watch

I think Benoit was the absolute best at this. To be that small, and to still make all your moves look like they're really hurting your opponent was just incredible.

Benoit vs. Regal at No Mercy 06 and Benoit vs. Finlay at Judgment Day 06 - the ultimate man's man matches. These should be mandatory watching for not only fans, but aspiring wrestlers.

Anyone else get this survey?

WWE is considering adding new programming to WWE Network as part of a premium priced tier. *Listed below are some potential new programming ideas. Please let us know how interested you are in each of the ideas. Select whether you are extremely, very, moderately, somewhat or not at all interested in each of the ideas.

House Shows:*For the first time ever, get a live, ringside view of select WWE house shows

WWE “Director’s Cut”:*Shows that put a new twist on classic content such as WWE Legends narrating historic pay-per-views or current WWE Superstars providing their perspective and analysis of classic matches

Ring of Honor:*Historic and new programming from Ring of Honor

Tournaments:*New in-ring tournaments such as a Pro Am style tournament (WWE vs. NXT), a Lucha tournament, a tag team tournament, or King / Queen of the Ring tournaments

Other Promotions:*Historic and new programming from ICW, PROGRESS, New Japan Pro-Wrestling, or other regional Indie promotions

Local Tournaments:*Tournaments that take place in your home country featuring local talent similar to*the WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament which took place in England this year

Special Live Events:*Special one-time live events from unique locations around the world featuring an unexpected main event

Original Scripted Comedies:*Comedies such as WWE Superstar Roasts, Southpaw Regional Wrestling, or WWE’s version of “The Office”

Original Scripted Dramas:*Wrestling-themed series inspired by wrestling’s colorful and rich history such as WWE’s version of Game of Thrones

New Reality Shows:*Reality shows featuring life on the road for WWE Superstars, an insider’s view of WWE Superstars’ intense training and workout regimens, WWE Superstar “Cribs”, WWE-style “Apprentice” to win a job at WWE, or WWE Legends’ House Season 2 – Attitude Era

TNA:*Historic and new programming from TNA / Impact / Global Force Wrestling

Audio Channel:*A section of WWE Network for “listening only” that provides audio play-by-play of pay-per-views, music playlists, “sports radio” style call-in shows and podcasts

TV-14 In-Ring Show:*A “new” weekly version of ECW (Extreme Championship Wrestling) or other “edgy” new promotion rated TV-14

Interesting, it seems like this could lead to paying extra if you want to view any new content they make or add in the future...

We will see but Im very cynical when it comes to big companies these days....

I guess I was naive thinking they would just dump all of their owned content eventually for the same subscription price

Hmmm follow up question...

Now please let us know which of these new program ideas are most valuable to you. To do so, please assume you have a total of $10 to spend against these ideas. How would you spend it? *For example, if you find one program idea much more valuable to you than any of the others, you can put all $10 towards that one program idea. *Or, if you find several different program ideas valuable, you can split up the $10 dollars across those ideas. *Just remember, you have $10 in total. *Please place any dollar amount from $0 to $10 in the spaces provided before each idea below; the total must add to $10.
