Ref checking Drews hand while he's still standing up... that's good refereeing...

Sigh. So, I see that we’re still structuring main events this way.

What an overbooked greasefire of a main event.

Glad Roman retained though.

Overall that was a pretty good PPV imo.

At least until Tyson Fury showed up in his pajama pants.

WTF at this post-match.

Anyway, some good stuff on this show, but it sure didn’t need to be 4.5 hours.

It's really hard for this to not be my main takeaway from the PPV, honestly.

Spamming "finisher --> kickout --> contrived shocked reaction" as many times as vibes warrant, and then eventually doing an actual finish. Apparently, the true peak of the art form. Looking forward to the 4+ stars for that main event from Big Dave, after which he will continue going out in public without so much as expressing the slightest bit of deeply held personal shame.

HHH has clearly fixed a number of dumb things, but him signing a letter of intent to continue that bullshit in perpetuity is very disheartening.

Hard to expect HHH to stop that stuff when he was at the forefront of bringing that element forward when he was active and being at the helm of the NXT Black and Gold brand.

Last time I'd watched was SummerSlam and I found what I caught of this event pretty good.

You're right, of course. It was probably hoping for too much. I was hoping that also was something Vince-driven being rammed through all throughout the product. But "we're not going to have drama in our big wrestling matches anymore; we're going to have THAT" just puts quite a ceiling on how good the product can ever be.

I realize that too many fans have been conditioned to just feel like this is how it is now, and that it would be a process to actually untrain them from the years of trying to turn every match into HBK-Undertaker. But a sensible steward of the land would see the scorched earth and look for ways to plant new seeds. HHH is still strolling around with a flamethrower.

I'll still be keeping track and hoping for the best. Just a very frustrating atrocity of a main event. But again, I am at least glad that they didn't sign up for the doomed-to-fail Drew McIntyre title reign.

While Drew and Fury are singing (wtf why?) they zoom in on a guy w/family and his shirt reads "better Dad than Chris Benoit".

LOL awesome
