There's a PPV starting now. Early starting time because they're in Wales.

Sky and Kai losing the tournament finals on Raw was really bad. Certainly Bayley's group has to at least go over in the opener here.

Expecting the crowd to hijack most if not all of these matches

Bayley reacting like a pro to the first fan hijacking of the event.

As mentioned in the WWE Network thread, I haven't been watching WWE for years and this is my first PPV since... I don't even remember what my last one was.

Happy to have a Euro-time friendly PPV though - so rare I can watch these live.

I could always do without a champ taking a pin in any spot that isn't specifically jobbing a belt away, but the overall result was good and it was a solid opener.

Perhaps spotlighting Cody during his absence points to something different than the cliched SHOCKING Rumble return for the win.

"It has been a match that has been labeled by the greatest match in the history of SummerSlam" by people who haven't rewatched it since it happened. Not even the best Bret Hart match in the history of SummerSlam.

Sheamus vs. Gunther could be a highlight of this show.

"When is the last time you've seen Sheamus be dominated like this?"

Everything always comes back to the HHH and friends segment.

I wasn't super into that, but respect for the stiff work. Definitely seemed like it did what it set out to.

Just tuning in. What match were they referencing?

Bret vs. Bulldog. They did a little video package on it since SummerSlam '92 was the ME last time they did a major (non-UK specific) PPV in the UK.

I am, uhh, less optimistic about Liv vs. Shayna than I am about anything else on this show. Please let Shayna go over.

Completely agree with that. Bret/Perfect is much better.

A submission match with Liv seems odd.

Looking forward to seeing what Liv Morgan can do - when I last watched she was certainly nowhere near being champion material and coming back and seeing her with the title, I initially mistook her for Alexa Bliss.

I've only returned to watching recently also, but as far as I can tell, she's still nowhere near being champion material. And a lot of crowds have begun to reject her, though this Wales crowd is being supportive.

Her strategy of wrestling in straight-up lingerie is interesting though.

The match was decent, but the ending of it sucked. Ref starting counting before the cover is even made is always a giveaway.

Oh how I hate having Dominik Mysterio on my television. Still morbidly curious about what it will look like if/when he turns heel though.

Dominik just doesn't look like he belongs in a wrestling ring.

No, he doesn't. He's modern-day David Sammartino to me until he isn't.

This is like the time that I was morbidly curious for years about what Subway's seafood sensation sandwich tasted like, eventually leading me to cave and try it, confirming that it was indeed as awful as you would expect.

Why the **** did his turn include him actually helping them win?

Maybe instead of ditching the first name as usual, they can ditch Dominik's last name.
