I think its a good idea in principle and that Regal would be an awesome person to front it as the older manager role. Id go for Team Europe (or something cleverer i didnt spend 1 second thinking of) and chuck in Castagnoli when he debuts and you can skip over the whole Sheamus isnt part of Britain thing.
I don't even know where to start with this...it's a decent idea for a potential angle, but WTF so many things wrong with it. Why is Sheamus there? He should hate the UK stable. Also it's called 'The United Kingdom'? Great idea, let's name the stable after the country it represents! Wouldn't it have been much simpler if La Resistance were just called 'France', or if the Hart Foundation were just called 'Canada'?
I can't even blame WWE Creative for this as they didn't write it. You know who I blame?
Spoiler:
Jk obviously, no desire to start teh internet warz.
Sheamus deciding to team up with The UK would generate huge heat for him back home. Like heat to the point where id be legit worried for the safety of his family.
During the airing of Smackdown in Australia, it was announced that Daniel Bryan would be defending the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Big Show and Mark Henry in a triple threat Steel Cage match at the upcoming Royal Rumble PPV on 1/29.

Interesting. Henry and Show battle each other while Bryan sneaks over the cage for the win?
Yeah, Show got injured in the dark main event of that show.
With it being prerecorded i assume he will be good enough to go at the RR though and its not a serious injury. If it were they would have just left that part on the cutting room floor and booked around it next week or hastily reshot something backstage in the offices and cut it to make it look like it was at the show.
But Henry is hurt, too. That's why he never does anything in the ring recently. They can just have Show and Henry throw whiff punches at each other and collapse from exaustion while Bryan just shrugs his shoulders and walkes out the door.
watched SD!, pretty meh. The whole D-bry slow turn/tweener thing is confusing the audience. I mean, how can you boo somebody who is angry at a guy who crushed his gf (even if he is doing it insincerely). Plus him vs Henry was weird, as there was obv canned heat for both of them. If the crowd is told to hate both, why are they watching? I did like the writing for D-bry to get out of fighting Henry, but Henry did not look very good. He is clearly still feeling whatever injury, and with Show now having tweaked his back the triple threat is going to be pretty crappy.
Most of the middle of the show was w/e. Cody being cody is nice, Sheamus did not seem to have the upper hand vs Barrett (though he crushes Mahal, how is that a 'feud' again?), and it showcased a bit of Sheamus's agility.
Bryan got booed plenty in the opening promo. Not got to the main event yet but its not surprising they arent sure how to react given Henry is the badass heel of the past year they are conditioned to cheer against. Its not good booking and they should have had Henry in this match 2 weeks earlier against Bryan earlier in the turn but there might have been injury factors handcuffing them too.
I loved the booking of the main event. Bryan kicking lumberjacks off Henry to get them to attack him in the ring and break down the entire match was just genius.
Fwiw i thought Henry looked close to 100% healed up from his injury, but its impossible to say if he is hopped up on painkillers and hiding pain with every movement or whatever.

wat. they were booing him very loudly during his opening promo and didn't seem remotely confused. the only tweener in this is Henry but he is going to be face soon when he ends up coming to AJ's rescue and people realize him telling Teddy Long he is ******ed is awesome.
