I much prefer Blake Shelton's pre-banging Miranda Lambert music to his current stuff, although I concede that God Gave Me You was great, and his cover of Footloose didn't suck as much as I anticipated.

No way he should have won Entertainer of the Year, though.

Him winning Entertainer of the Year was odd, considering that he's not even a big touring act right now. I know that he's become a bigger name in the mainstream world, but not even being a touring presence in country should restrict him from winning that award. I think he was pretty sincere about feeling similarly upon accepting.

For what it's worth, I at least think that Miranda's music got better after they got together.

This is most definitely true, and I think in general it's a positive trade-off. They're both still really good, but I preferred mullet-driven, party-animal Blake Shelton over his current jolly-giant persona.

Both still really good performers. I saw Miranda Lambert live right when they first started dating a couple of years ago, and it was a pretty good concert if I remember correctly. I had been drinking.
