On another note, I saw the preview for the next Marvel TV series, She-Hulk, and it looks...possibly really terrible?

I'm sure I'll give it a shot anyway. But like with Moon Knight, I may have a quick hook for it.

Okay come on, I'm in for the Christensen redemption tour...

...but let's knock this off right now:

I know it. And I do hate that. Obviously the obsessive idiots who pushed it to that point are horrible.

Surprised at the timing of dropping that on Obi-Wan Eve. Looks potentially intriguing though.

Glad Forrest is going to be a part of it. To be honest, I'd rather the whole show be about Saw. But then again, why does it even have to be singular character in focus? Just call it a show about the early days of the rebellion. It wasn't a Cassian Andor movie, was it?

Enjoyed the first two episodes of Obi-Wan (liked the first more than the second).

Spoiler:
Clearly Qui-Gon is happening. Maybe Satine flashbacks too?

Spoiler:
I do not need any more of that silly Kumail Nanjiani character. The character was too unsubtle to begin with, and then they took him on an arc from scummy to noble with zero progression. Let's be done with that part.

Top Gun 2 is Wrestling OT/LC Thread: We'll Stop Talking About Star Wars Eventually. Thrilling cinematography and sparing use of CGI.

Honestly a likely Best Picture frontrunner at this point.

Haven't seen it yet, but I surely will given all the good buzz.

Hard to imagine a Top Gun sequel actually getting recognized by the Academy in the Best Picture category no matter how well-deserved, but I'd love for the Academy to finally broaden its horizons in that way.

You *must* see it on the big screen. Home just can’t do it justice. We did IMAX and it was astonishing

I mean, maybe, but my plan is currently to just wait to watch at home.

I realize it makes me an outlier among movie fans, but I just don't care too much about the experience of seeing movies on the biggest screen possible, no matter how action-packed, etc. If I go to the theater for a movie then it's almost always about my refusal to abide the wait for it to arrive on streaming because it's something I want to see ASAP.

Well, no, "OT" stands for "off-topic." Occasionally wrestling draws a mention, and that's fine, but that's not really what this one thread is for.

They probably should have made those slabs of meat look less delicious. Tattooine is supposed to be an unlivable hellscape, after all.

But really, I'm surprised that the show seems to be getting more static than I would expect. Whatever nitpicks I have, I was certainly entertained and I'm looking forward to the next installment.

Obv a week late, but the mid-season finale episode of BCS got my jaw to drop. Was pretty fun to see everyone who was complaining about the Jimmy/Kim V. Howard storyline being too slow get totally obliterated.

I mean, Gilligan has been doing this for almost 15 years now in this universe. Maybe you can give him a bit of a benefit of the doubt that he A) knows how to do this **** and B) Is going to knock the ending out of the park.

I didn't know there were any significant complaints out there about BCS moving too slowly. Its deliberate pace is pretty much how the whole show has gone, and if people don't like that pacing then they probably should have jumped off by now.

It was a pretty great midseason finale. The result itself was not that shocking, but it was certainly jarring and hit basically as hard as it would have if I had no idea we might be heading that way.

Jish,
If you're still sleeping on Rebels, it seems like that's probably worth hammering out between now and Ahsoka (which I think isn't until 2023, but still). Seems from the most recent info like there's probably going to be significant carry-over from one show to the next.
