I remember a few years ago, UW was ranked in preseason. By the time they managed to win their first four games, they were no longer ranked.

Every time you sign up for a free trial, you should instantly cancel the product as the very next step. In the overwhelming majority of cases, you'll still get your free trial and will not be billed unless you proactively go back and ask to be.

Yeah, some products do, but they're significantly outnumbered by those that don't. And I find that most of the time, before finalizing cancellation, you'll see language one way or another as to what's going to happen. It's been awfully uncommon for me to go the cancellation route and only find out afterward that I just lost the service effective immediately.

Football is here. I'll be watching, and hopefully mostly enjoying, as I always do. But I mourn the lost part of me that used to harbor an unhealthy obsession with football. Despite having just explicitly stipulated to the negatives within that description, that obsession was quite fun to have this time of year. And it seems to be gone. Nowadays I have a calmer, healthier relationship with football, and that is markedly less fun.

I feel like the older I get the less I enjoy most things Im general. Watching sports is definitely one of them. Video games was another big one. Don’t get me wrong I’m happy nfl is back, but I also miss all my unhealthy obsessions

Also that heavily includes wrassling, which is really hard to see as anything other than cringe as of late

I was sort of hoping it was depression on my end since that's maybe treatable, but between PJ and BigHurt I'm fearing that it's just the natural start of middle age.

I emailed a longtime IRL friend the same sentiment today and he also chimed in his agreement.

Hmm, I suppose that is possible. Never really considered that. I always was under the assumption it's that the older you grow, the more you realize how fleeting time is and want to "waste" it less. But maybe that is also depression speaking. Who knows!

Also I highly correlate it to working a full time job. When you only get 4-6 hours after work to do things, it makes playing video games feel like a huge waste of time.
