I'm not going to get into a war about whose teams are worse. I will just say that being a Philadelphia sports fan over the last 35 years hasn't been great

On the bright side, no many how losses the Sixers pile up, none will be as bad as losing the actual franchise via theft to the David Stern Olive Oil Company.

Browns take troubled Brantley, may release him
That's a very Browns headline to show up while a draft is still ongoing.

it's very Brownsy if they release him, but i actually kinda see the logic to it

Care to share the logic? I don't get it at all.

I presume that they think that he could be exonerated, and that he was good enough value from a talent standpoint at that stage that they were willing to take a flier on that chance.

Oh, if the logic is "unlikely to work out, but if he does, the sky's the limit" then I obviously understand.

DWetz's post made me think there would be some logic to draft and immediately release.

Oh, no, what he said.

Guy was going to be like a 2nd rounder, and late round picks are basically lotto tickets, so why not have your lotto be "turns out he wasn't guilty of anything".

The Seahawks picked up Mike Tyson, and it's all the other teams having to field questions about drafting rapists.

Gotta tell you: the lip seems to be a highly effective place to blade. Had a shaving mishap over two hours ago and am only now getting the color situation under control.

Yeah, its really hard to get good compression on something so soft and pliable.

Also, how the **** did the razor get your lips?

Carelessly swiping downward to get at some hairs at the bottom of the mustache area. Suddenly felt a terrible jolt of pain and started going full Eddie Guerrero until I got the situation under control.

UPS, another of the companies in the "**** you, you need us so its okay were ****ing terrible" category

Nice concise opener from support though:

Today I found out that FOMO is an acronym for "fear of missing out." WTF.

I was being asked by the office social butterfly about whether I was going to be at tomorrow's pointless semi-obligation lunch. I asked him how many people were going, explaining that the bigger the number, the more easily I could justify skipping it since my absence would be less and less noticeable. A young co-worker walked by and said, "Oh, I wasn't going to be able to come to that, but I rearranged my schedule so I could because I had major FOMO."

I do not understand how that phrase could be so common as to justify a lame millennial acronym.

The only time I've heard FOMO was in a commercial for realtor.com. It was ridiculous then, and its more ridiculous if people are actually saying it in everyday conversation.

I bet it's more of a city slang than in the burbs' of Indiana. YOLO is an actual thing here, too, albeit used far more obnoxiously. OTOH, I'm in the comedy scene, so it's essential to keep up with these things to use for comedic purposes.

This is what you get for not watching Silicon Valley

Silicon Valley was not available on Prime FWIW. I looked. They've offered the old HBO archive, but not newer stuff that's popular now.

FOMO is getting some traction up here, mostly because Toronto is in a massive housing bubble.

The fact that it was used to describe a pointless social lunch with co-workers is especially WTF to me.

"I rearranged my schedule so I could because I had major FOMO."
"FOMO?"
"Fear of missing out."
"That's an acronym? What the hell? Don't most people go their whole lifetimes without saying that phrase even five times? And you're using it to describe lunch at a sports bar with people who you see daily?"
