I guess I should revise. It gets well-rated on Rotten Tomatoes. It gets raked over the coals on IMDb. Usually you don't see such disparate ratings on those two sites, so I just saw IMDb and assumed.

Also, what I gather from poking around the internet is that you and I were the only ones who liked season 1. But season 2 did get ordered up before season 1 ever aired.
I've seen the first ten minutes. The opening montage was delightful.

In general I'm fine with either Super Bowl result. Probably prefer the Panthers, but I like both Cam and Peyton so whatever, there's no catastrophic result available.

^ But then I see this and it makes me want to go out and buy an entire Carolina Panthers wardrobe and declare war on Denver for the next week. ****ing Colts fans.

My Colts fan brother is going to be cheering hard for Peyton Manning. I'm pretty sure he came over this past Monday just so he could argue with me about why his beloved Peyton was going to ride off into the sunset a Super Bowl champion. It was nauseating.

Put a solid bet on Denver at +6.5. Here we go Denver!

Phil Simms announcing the Super Bowl is the greatest announcing travesty outside of the "WWE Universe". The person that keeps Simms employed has to be the same person responsible for play by play announcer heel turns in wrestling.

A college classmate of mine is a position coach for DEN, so that's who I'll be rooting for today.

No real rooting interest. Just hoping for a decent game.

I'm in Denver so I guess it'd be cool if they won. Have a fear it's going to be a spanking like Peyton's last super bowl though so +1 for give us a good game

It's definitely a close enough call for me that I would take a great game and a Denver win over a lopsided Carolina win without much question.

But you must root for Peyton LKJ, as he is an honorary Colt tonight!

Unfortunately not a particularly enjoyable game. Quite a ridiculous performance from Von Miller though, so respect for that.

I was seriously worried that they might give it to Peyton, just because Peyton.

- Glad Peyton got the ring at the end of the day. Dude was objectively one of the two best QBs in the NFL for an entire decade+ (I personally think it's the best but don't wanna start the whole Brady/Peyton thing so I'll say one of the two), had to carry the likes of Jim Caldwell, John Fox, Gary Kubiak, and Tony Dungy throughout his career (I think Dungy wasn't as bad as the other 3 but his in game coaching was atrocious), and has an argument as being the best QB of all time with holding all sorts of records. There were a lot of Peyton teams that had sieves for a defense back in Indy so it's kind of nice to see him get carried by one this time. Now go ride off into the sunset.

- Kinda disappointed at Cam's lack of WIM as he watched the super bowl lay on the ground and chose not to even attempt to get it. Still like him otherwise but that was a straight coward move I'd expect out of Andy Dalton or Carson Palmer or something.

- Von and Ware were just elite. Both front 7's played really well and made both offenses look like garbage.

- Lol @ punting with 2 minutes to go down by 14. The **** you got to lose?

- Game was meh, commercials were pretty meh too, but was nice not cheering for team meteor for the first time in a few years

Doritos commercial with the baby jumping out of the womb was pretty damn good. Otherwise agreed on the commercials.

If Peyton had put any sort of argument forth with his statline then I imagine this happens, but it was just impossible to give it to him tonight. I got my best heel heat of the party when I said that modern-day Peyton Manning is "Rex Grossman with a better brand name."

I like Peyton and realize that was an overstatement, but the opportunity to troll Colts fans is all this game left me with.

I'd probably take John Fox from this group, just because he successfully coached the Jake Delhomme Panthers to a Super Bowl (nearly a win) and another NFC Title game with talent that was certainly good, but nothing special.

Dungy wasn't too bad, seemed to build something good in Tampa, but they couldn't get over the top until Gruden took over. His run with the Colts was pretty underwhelming given the core of offensive skill players they had.

But I may be more biased against Dungy than is entirely fair, just because he's proven to be such a ridiculous numbskull now in his broadcasting career that the temptation is to dismiss him entirely.

I thought it couldn't get worse than Big Ben's "winning" performance in Super Bowl XL. I was wrong, Manning was worse. Hang it up, dude, go out on top.

Or wait, maybe Ben was worse? Wasn't his rating like, 6.7? Hahahaha....

Ben was less accurate for less yards and one more INT.

Had a dream last night that there was a bounty on my head to take me out, so a bunch of rec league softball bros kept coming after me. I just started German suplexing them all over the field/onto the bleachers and taking them to Suplex City. One of my more fun lucid dreams.

I did enjoy the "Dario Cueto" sighting during the commercials last night

Well the actor who plays him anyway

Which ad was that?

EDIT: Never mind, I found it. It was the Prius 4 commercial. Didn't catch that he was in that one.

MLB.tv to cost $110 for the full league package this year, or $85 for the individual team package. Down from $130 for the full league package last year.

Pretty sure I'll just get the Mariner team package. That will be a nice savings from what I've spent the last few years.
