I don't keep a power ranking or anything. I would assume that he's made worse simply because he's probably made terrible throws under no pressure before. That one was just dealing with a blitz/pass rush really badly.

Certainly closer to being over now than it was when I posted that at 0-7. Obviously I'd rather stick a rusty fork in my eye than become a person that overreacts to every single first quarter TD that ever happens.

They're just getting obliterated in both trenches, so while there's plenty of time it's awfully difficult to see the game just turning on a dime in our favor the way we would need it to. If we lose decisively then so be it, I'll wish the Panthers well the rest of the way like I said.

Yeah, it would be a minor miracle even to bring this game back within question at this point. Anyway, losing decisively - especially to a relatively likable team - is a lot easier to deal with than our last couple of playoff eliminations. If someone had to take us out, it's a lot better it be Carolina than the Fighting Arians.

Disappointing obviously, but as someone who lived through the Seahawks of the 90s, I'm basically always braced to deal with the worst-case scenario.

Meh, too deep of a hole, as I figured. Good guys lose. But if this was a wrestling match I would endorse the babyface handshake. Panthers are literally the only tolerable team left (I guess Denver would sort of be second), so hopefully they can take it further.

Eagerly awaiting your 1996 Jake the Snake analogy with my Steelers up next. Without AB I just don't see a way they can win unless the defense magically forces a bunch of turnovers. I fully expect DEN to load up to stop the run and medium pass and force Ben to beat them deep with his hurt arm.

I mean, Denver just isn't good enough for them to be some sort of guaranteed winner against a playoff team; it's super weird that they're a #1 seed. So I don't think it's 100% impossible for the Steelers to win.

That said, obviously picking Denver to win, and I would probably even give the 7.5 points if I had to pick a winner ATS.

NFL's #1 defense at home vs. an injured Ben and ghost Antonio Brown and ghost DeAngelo Williams makes Denver minus the points pretty close to free money in my mind. I think it will take a serious Denver choke for the black and gold to stand a chance.

Dammit I hate Seahawk fans. All of them are so ****ing confused about how to root in the playoffs. Get your heads on straight you buffoons. Bunch of them lined up to root for the Cardinals in that Super Bowl last decade too. It was rough having to go around yelling at everyone for two weeks straight in the lead-up to that game.

I don't care who you root for, but Pittsburgh should always be at the top of teams to root against. At least New England's scumbags get sent to jail.
