Oooooo. That's actually probably a really good comparison. That being said Norton trumps Sandler any day, and I wouldn't discourage you from watching it. It was an interesting experience and like I said, quite awesome in its direction and style (if you're a fan of good directing and style choice I think it's a must see)

That's an extremely good description of the film.

Condolences to TBE and True North on the Jays losing tonight. However, I'd be lying if I said I am not happy to see the bandwagonery come to an end.

My social media feeds have been filled with sudden Jays superfans and baseball experts for the last month and it was driving me nuts. If all these people were to now stay on the Jays wagon, that'd be great. But really, how many will?

It's basically impossible for the bandwagon thing to not happen when a long-time mediocre team rises back up. I can sympathize with it being really obnoxious to be surrounded by it though.

I had no choice but to root against them either though, just given that Seattle's most aggressive enemy fan invasion each year is BC residents pouring over the border to root for the Jays in Safeco. It's an embarrassment when we sound outnumbered in our own stadium, and a world title would surely make it worse.

As a life long Phillies fan, I totally understand. And I mean lifelong, as in Shane Rawley, Dickie Thon, Von Hayes lifelong. Man, the Phillies really have sucked for most of my life

Also as a Phillies fan I agree and recognize a lot of similarities between these Jays and the late 00's early 10's Phillies.

This is true, just go back to the Giants series. Sounded like a Giants home game all weekend.

There's nothing sustainable about the royals

Their pitching was horrible and even if Ventura improves he's still the only guy worth a **** in that rotation

Holland is finished

They're about to lose Gordon zobrist and Ryan madson

Now or never, especially with the emergence of the twins and eventual rebound of the tigers

Phillies fan myself, and I gotta say, I'm surprised they were able to restock to farm so fast. Especially with Roob engineering the trades.

With the Jays having this great season, it will make it worse in terms of Jays fans in Safeco.

I'm not sure it makes a huge difference. To give due credit, they show up even when the Jays aren't good. The only thing that can make a difference is the M's getting better and motivating the locals to show up themselves to box out Toronto fans.

The first half of this NE/MIA game was like in the 80s when a new wrestler would squash a few jobbers, then go up against a main eventer and get wrecked.

Making a fiery comeback now though. Pretty impressive to be able to adjust against BB.

****ing ESPN. National media genuinely not bothering to know that there's a difference between Washington and Washington State has always been a thing, but it still makes me shake my head every time.

Lol at having both logos displayed on screen at the same time. I imagine neither the graphics department nor director knew the difference.

Hey Joe? Which graphic do we use for Washington? They look pretty different.

**** if I know Jerry, throw em both up there.

Yeah, it was a strong showing. Really frustrating one to lose. Proud of the boys though; I think they're right on the verge of being legit.

Ricardo Lockette laying completely motionless for that long after being hit in the Seahawks-Dallas game has to be the scariest thing that I've ever seen in an NFL game. I legitimately thought he might have died on the field. Horrifying.

Could still be a very serious injury, but glad he was conscious and able to start moving his hands when he got put on the stretcher.

I remember a dozen or so years ago a Lions (I think) player did that while I watched live and later came to find out they had to perform a tracheotomy on the field so he could breathe and wouldn't die on the field. Was scary stuff.

Searched him on Google and the first thing that pops up is this from his twitter today. If he had died, people would say he knew.

I can't imagine if his little girl (she looks 9 or 10) was watching that. Very Jerry MaGuireesque.

Thankfully the report is full range of motion and just a concussion. Obviously a concussion is bad, but when a guy lays there unconscious for a super long time then you have to know that's the minimum.

I do remember that Lions player, and the fact that they did that to rescue him.

GG. Ugly as hell, and I'm just not sure this Seattle team is all that good, but the season stays alive anyway.

And yeah the reports on him all seem fine, staying overnight in Dallas as a precautionary thing but they say the preliminary tests are coming back positive.
