That's really why I'm having a tough time being optimistic here. I can easily see the offense scoring on most of the rest of their drives, but I don't know where the stops are going to come from. Probably need to get lucky with some turnovers.
Well, doubt they score in this quick of a window, but we do get second half kickoff so that's a chance to take the lead even if we don't catch lightning before half here.
Huh. I have no clue about this new kicker, all he's done so far is make his XPs and one chip shot earlier, but pretty awesome if Rutgers just handed us 3 points by being donkeys there.
in other news LOLOLOLOL dave wannstedt is now an analyst for college football. It's about ****ing time everyone that hires coaches realized he was god awful and his strategy of "opening drive FG? Time to run the clock trying to hold the lead and look confused when it isn't enough to win" doesn't deserve to be coaching. Awesome first impact on the show too:
Dave: Nova scares me if I'm Rutgers, I just run the ball and keep it out of his hands
Other guy: Wait, didn't you recruit Nova?
Dave: Yeah, that's why I'm sitting here
Our defense is just so bad. I'm very doubtful we've dealt with our last deficit. My attitude right now is that I wouldn't mind Rutgers scoring a TD in 3-4 minutes just because that would give us enough time to have a solid final possession.
But a turnover is in play too. I'll hope for that.
I hate it when people have no idea how to modulate their tone so that you can reasonably detect the importance of what they want to talk to you about.
Big boss comes into my office just now. Very serious tone.
Him: "Hey, can I talk to you about something?"
Me (internally): ****.
Me (externally): "Yeah, what's up?"
Him: "Did you file <insert complaint here> yet?"
Me: "Yeah, yesterday morning."
Him: "Okay, just wanted to make sure that it got filed before the end of the month. Thanks!"
WTF dude. Don't frighten me like that. It's like the fifth different time that I thought that he was mad at me and confronting me about something serious, and each time I've just been going "WTF, what did I do??" before he quickly brings up something trivial.
