Saying motorcycle seems weird to me. Do you say bicycle too? lol yanks i guess, what a waste of syllables.

Anyway didn't intend to derail, just wanted to agree with LKJ that motorbicycles are horrible. Carry on talking about the room and ****.

Great idea! Here is today's The Room, words of widsom.

I did not hit her, it's not true, it's bull****. I did not hit her! I did Nawt!

Oh Hi Mark!

I don't understand why anyone would like waitstaff at a restaurant memorizing their favorite order. It always embarrasses me. I always feel like I should be mixing up my orders enough that there isn't a super obvious "usual" order when I walk in. Having a usual is like an indictment of me for being boring.

There's a Subway underneath my office, like directly a floor below, and while it's not the greatest, it's incredibly convenient and my lazy side often submits and just grabs lunch there in the middle of the work day. They know my favorite sandwich and start making it as soon as I walk in. Sometimes the lady who works up front will even nod to another customer and say, "I already know what he wants." I always hang my head in shame, at least internally.

And yet most people I mention this to respond by saying that they think that it's great to be a regular, and that they really appreciate it when the employees know their order right away.

I'll go with the second group. Knowing what you like doesn't make you boring. There are many times when I'll try something new at a place where I have a regular, and then regret that I'm not eating what I normally get.

In the words of Johnny from The Room, "That's life, huh?"

Yeah I agree that it feels kinda weird for the staff to know your order when you walk in a place. I usually alternate between two or three sandwiches at subway.

I don't go there anymore though as a fat sweaty girl with a freakishly high voice started working there and it put me off the food. I feel kinda bad about this but whatever.

That's nothing to feel bad about.

This Subway downstairs from my office is a damn colony of weirdos, basically one normal worker and a bunch of people who I brace my way through every interaction with (it appears to be sort of a real life POG), and I persist in going there in spite of that because of the convenience, but I wouldn't question anyone who stopped because of them.

Yours is even more legit since none of mine appear to be sweaty.

Yeah if I went into a subway and found Mets working behind the counter I would leave immediately

Lol mets.

In real life, mets is actually a pretty cool guy. I've hung out with him a few times.

I think the "regular" is dependant. Every Wednesday night after baseball, our team goes to a local pub. Same waitress every week, and she knows what everyone orders every time. I think that's a pretty different scenario, right?

However, as far as being a regular somewhere like a Subway or something, never experienced it myself.

Yeah that would not embarrass me.

I can't even immediately articulate the difference, but I agree that it's different.

Thursdays and Fridays, the same bartender works at the bar we go to for lunch at work. She knows that I order a burger, medium, and a bud light draft. I like that, and the tip reflects it.

I certainly wouldn't tip more for knowing my order, but I tend to tip well in general and I definitely tend to tip generously if I'm a regular in a place, because I wouldn't dare risk under-tipping in a place that I'm going to keep going back to.

What sucks is when I'm a regular who generally is pleased with the service (I mean if the service was generally bad, I'd find another place, so if I'm a regular in the first place then the service meets my liking), and for the first time in many trips they just give you ****ty service one day. I end up giving up one mulligan and tipping generously in that situation anyway because I give them the benefit of the doubt, but it annoys me to tip well when I wasn't happy with how I was treated on that particular day.

The loud rev up of a motorcycle means "I have no legitimate way to achieve attention so am going to interrupt what you are doing this way instead.". I despise all ways of calling attention to yourself without actually doing something of value.

You forgot the water bottle throw!!!!

Johnny should have been a motorcycle rider, btw. Man, that would have been amazing.

"Whatever doesn't kill you only makes you stronger" could legitimately be the dumbest cliche that a person has come up with. And that's saying something, considering all of the dumb ****ing things that people have said over time.

I dunno, I wouldn't really want staff at a pub to know my drinks order either, but yeah that's better than a fast food place for sure. I try to mix my beers up a bit too.
