Seriously, being that AC/DC is my favourite band, I'd love to see Bon Scott in hologram form. Man, that would be so sick. He died before I was born. Not sure how much I would pay, probably a lot.

Also watched Glory earlier. Pretty solid.

Just watched Hotel Rwanda. There's a chance that it is the most depressing movie in history. Very good, though. Any others that pretty much make you wanna kill yourself? Saddest movie you've seen?

A friend of mine recommended the Belorussian film "Come and See" when I asked him the same question. I just watched it.

It was the most horrifying film I've ever seen in my life. I have never seen massacres depicted this way. Unbelievably powerful stuff.

I thought The Reader was a pretty damn sad one.

There are a number of movies that are tearjerkers but don't reach a Requiem level just because it's difficult to reach that level of brutality and darkness. "Here are a bunch of characters circling the drain. And now here's the bottom of the drain. Fade to black." Lots of directors would be huge pussies and would bail out with some sort of redemption, so I appreciate Aronofsky's restraint.

My inability to connect with Hotel Rwanda on a level that I probably objectively should was summed up well in one line Joaquin Phoenix said in that film.

First one that came to mind when I read his post. So many unforgettable scenes and I've only seen the movie once. I don't think I ever want to watch it again.

But be warned it's not bad in a Room type of way where it's so bad it's hilarious. Watch it if you're bored or something.
