Wanna take the opportunity to say that I think tpir's permaban was harsh, especially for someone registered for ten years and posted fairly regularly. And I say that as someone who he personally attacked more than once for no reason whatsoever.

Btw I mostly only lurk 2p2 but from what I've seen some of the mods are absolutely terrible, so just wanted to give a to emc and pjo for being good.

Can't say I knew that tpir was banned. But I'm not shocked, given his general pattern of flying off the handle for no apparent reason.

He called Gobbo fat. It was abrasive and uncalled for but like I said perma seems harsh


Fwiw I did a review of my posting after his tirade at me and although I still didn't quite get was his problem was in that thread, it did make me realise that sometimes I can come across as a dick without realising it/meaning to (I blame that on the ass burgers though ) so hopefully I can become a better poster due to his comments*. I quite liked the guy though, just seems like he has some legit anger issues, and I guess it's better for these issues to come out online than in real life (such as at a McDonald's, for example ).

*not looking for validation or anything, just typing out my thoughts because I'm bored. (and yeah, I took some comments someone made on the internet personally. lol me)

Oh hey thanks! There are plenty of people who either A) Take their role way too seriously, or B) Are cleary not very happy individuals and take it out on message board folks. However not all mods suck, and there are of course exponentially more terrible non mods that we all have to deal with, so its a tipping scale.

As far as Tpir, Im not really sure what kind of drugs he was on but yes he called gobbo fat in a very abrasive manner, was banned for 3 days, and then upon the ban being lifted, made an even more abrasive post towards gobbo, so he was nearly directly asking for it. I enjoyed his posting here, as I do generally everyone in this section.

I mean PJ and EMc do a good job, but I think either one of them would be the first to tell you that this is like the easiest board in existence to mod. Not that high in traffic to begin with and we pretty much self-regulate.

(This is me being bitter because I had to try to mod the ****ing weirdos of POG and they get to mod the chill people of this board. Yes I'm jealous.)

We both mod multiple sections. Although I don't do a very attentive job anywhere else anymore. The choice to mod pog was your own, and you actively posted there, so I'm somewhat surprised you act like it's a shock it sucked. I wouldn't request to mod nvg or bbv or oot for a reason. What exactly were you expecting?

Oh it was a terrible decision on my part, no question. Like...I realized I hated it within a week, and the rest of my tenure was just me going "well I'm gonna look like a huge pussy if I bail that instantly, so I feel like I have to stick around and do this now for a respectable length of time." I actually had only been actively posting there for like three months before I was modded (and only in WW games, not anywhere else on the board really), so that's how I got blindsided by just how ****ed up and idiotic that board is. But yeah it was dumb of me.

I've never really gone in there. All I know is people go in with 3k posts over 3 years and come out a year later with 40k. Scary business going on in there

It takes a LOT to get perma'd from POG. From the "easy for me to say now" file, I've tried to encourage them to move toward the "just perma everyone who sucks; forget about significant justification" model that OOT and other subforums follow, but I'm guessing that won't take.

I'm still a relative noob, so pardon my ignorance, but what does POG stand for?

Puzzles and Other Games. It's another subforum. Werewolf is a very fun game but a very strange personality type gravitates to that forum for whatever reason.

Right on cue after my rant about mods on other subforums earlier, a guy got banned from English Football simply for having a different opinion than most other people. I don't post in that thread for a couple of reasons but I lurk it a lot and enjoyed reading his posts. In fairness though most of the thread stuck up for him.

Yeah that's what the issue is. A friend told me recently that he was probably ordering Survivor Series and wanted me to come by for it, so actually seeing a rare PPV on a TV set could get me back into things more if they don't blow it.

Doesn't help when it's football season. But then again if the wrestling product was good I'm sure I'd choose it over Miami-Tampa Bay. As is...
