Again I like the Beatles. And I understand their props are somewhat of a result of historical importance, which I can appreciate. But I'd rather sit and listen to Nirvana most of the time.

I don't get Brad Paisley not being nominated, either. He tours extensively and released a decent, if not controversial album this year as well. Shelton should probably have won based on the fact that he's everywhere right now promoting country music and everybody is listening to his stuff.

I love Taylor, but musical event of the year should probably have gone to Florida Georgia Line.

Jason Aldean is interesting to me because I used to hate his ****ing guts and everything about him, but since probably "Fly-Over States" I have really enjoyed much of what he has done. I dunno, he's generic Country-Rock, like Emerson Drive (don't know if they're ever played in the states) but I don't have a problem if they happen to come on the radio anymore.

I sat outside Mosaic Stadium for the Paul McCartney concert here in August, it was amazing. Tickets were too expensive for me to get in, though.

I like Emerson Drive. "Moments" is a great song, even though it's ****ed up that their drummer offed himself within a few months of that song becoming a hit.

Aldean has some good songs. There's just nothing at all exceptional about his talent. I don't think he writes most or any of his stuff, so he's just a mediocre performer who has run hot on song selection.

Agreed on Paisley, but he's my favorite so I tend to avoid going out of my way to prop him up for fear of being some weird fanboy.

Paisley puts on an amazing show. I have seen him live 3 times and he does not disappoint at all.

Here is a story about Emerson Drive. They have huge turnover in their members, in fact I don't think they have an original left, but when they were first starting out quite a few year ago they toured the Alberta country music scene with two bands: Kidd Country and Rock 'N'Horse.

My buddy's Dad was in the former, and became pretty good friends with some of these members (particularly Duane Steele from RNH who went on to have a successful solo career in Canada). Anyway, in their couple of months on the road with Emerson Drive, the one thing they took out of it was that they had never seen guys smoke as much weed as the guys in that band.

The dudes from Emerson Drive would later tell them that of they thought they smoked a lot of weed, they should try touring with Doc Walker (another super successful Canadian band). I later met the lead singer of Doc Walker in a bar a few years ago in a small town in Norhern Saskatchewan as he was on a fishing trip, and one of the first things he asked me was if I had some weed. Full circle.

Elton John is an absolutely incredible musician.

Elton John is great. Although whenever I compliment him I always feel the need to mention that Rocket Man is terrible.

Also Benny and the Jets is not good. But all of his other hit songs are awesome.

As silly as it is on the surface, it seems like quite a high compliment for other posters here to reach out to someone who doesn't post anymore to come back, a few times. WALLY IS FINALLY BACK

He's not fully back until he preaches the evils of innocuous medication like Advil.

Don't get me started. In the summer I had a friend get smoked by a drunk driver who ran a red light while she was walking across the street. She was so loaded up on drugs for a few months she wasn't herself.

Finally she went off of most of them and although not healing as fast and in significantly more pain she is at least herself again. She's happier, she's lucid, and she's motivated. Such a change. Not everything needs chemicals to improve your mood or health.

Advil is good. It takes away headaches.
