I find the Chiefs very fun to watch. They have a couple of complete scumbags on the team (Tyreek Hill, Frank Clark) and I wouldn't fault anyone for disqualifying rooting for them on that basis, but it's a bit easier to get past when the QB and head coach are likable. Of course, if they have to keep going with Henne then the "fun to watch" factor goes down considerably.

I just don't want to see a situation where the Bills narrowly beat the Henne-led Chiefs because of how hollow it would make the AFC result feel. (If I were an actual Bills fan, I'd be just fine with it.)

Since I'm 100% rooting for the AFC in the Super Bowl given how things have played out, just hoping for a great AFCCG and then the winner to go on to ship it.

Any word on Mahomes status for next week? If he doesnt play, Buffalo pulls a Lesnar v Cena at Summerslam.

I'm under the impression we won't know for at least several days, and maybe all the way up to Sunday.

Probably the right move for the Chiefs to avoid a stomping by making Buffalo prepare for both options

I'm surprised they have an active betting line up on this game. KC -3. Usually a starting QB being up in the air means the books will just keep it off the board until more is publicly known.

I dont see how KC can be a favorite with Mahomes questionable.

It opened at Buf -1.5 on DK and was quickly pushed in KC's direction. I guess this game was big enough for the books to take a lot of speculative money. A lot of people think Mahomes is gonna play though. Seeing 2.5 and 3 right now, but if it goes above a FG, Buf might be the play whether Mahomes plays or not.

Any talk of a Royal Rumble pool this year? I'd be down for both a high roller ($100) and low roller ($10-$20) pool.

I feel like the Bernie meme ran its course, but as wrestling ones go I was partial to this one:

That's pretty great. The Jamie Lee Curtis one tweeted yesterday was fantastic as well.

Man, I struggled for a long-ass time with this and figured it was just a Where's Waldo and the person who posted it was ****ing with me, but I finally found Bernie.

Took me about 3 minutes.

What's the deal with the Bernie stuff? Is it from the last 100 hours?

Ha, that's a good one.

You made me do math, but yes it's from the last 100 hours, it's Bernie at the Inauguration.

I love the fact that Mike McCarthy was trending on Twitter simply because a Packer coach did something that monumentally stupid late in the game.

I dont even understand it. If the idea is that your defense can stop them, then why not go for it on 4th and if you miss, then you let the defense stop them. What do you gain with the field goal? Not having to go for 2? What a stupid ****ing decision.

Apparently Tony Romo thinks that Hacksaw Jim Duggan threw a lot of belly-to-back suplexes.

That's a Hacksaw Jim Duggan reference there.

What a god awful sentence. Lol! I looked my cat in the eye as she was laying on my chest, and asked, "why the **** did he choose the Hacksaw?"

Welp. Bills weren't ready for primetime. Hopefully the Chiefs can ship it in a couple of weeks. While I don't feel the contempt for him that I felt for Jim Harbaugh (and, for that matter, for literally every person who didn't share my exact feelings about Harbaugh), it's very important that Bruce Arians never haunt the Lombardi Trophy stage.

They, uhh...went with option B. Losing out on the promotion was not to my preference, but at least the job went to someone who I like and respect. The whole, "So, you're going to just stay put and we're going to bring back the worst person in the world and you'll report to him," that's a lot more problematic.

I promptly set up a meeting with HR to inform them that that dog ain't gonna hunt, that I'm going to graciously offer them the chance to transfer me to another division if they do it quickly enough for my satisfaction, but that under no circumstances will I even consider continuing long-term in my present position.

So far they've acted like there's a good chance they'll accommodate my demand to move me out of this situation, but given that the worst person in the world actually started in our office this week and I've actually had to interact with him, the clock is ticking loudly. I'd rather transfer since I'm happy enough with my salary (or was, before the position itself became unacceptable), but am perfectly willing to hand in my notice if my little and loud demands aren't met.
