Agreed - I'd love to watch something like that, but I wouldn't want to participate.

All the "behind-the-scenes" stuff I've watched of wrestling has only made me appreciate and respect the craft more.

Top level wrestlers are incredibly acrobatic and skilled and it's a shame some people seem to think "it's fake" because they're not actually trying to hurt/kill each other. Their job would require a lot less skill if that was the actual goal.

Looks like Vince has landed a sweet consulting gig for MLB.

WTF, this sub has existed for over eight years? It doesn't feel like THAT many years ago that we had a single threadzilla in OOT.

Anyway, I got no reaction when I posted this eight years ago, but Billy Bob Thornton having a subdued meltdown on Canadian radio really is worth a look.

I came to post this, but now will also note that I've never had a Facebook.

For LKj: In April, Jon Bois will be releasing a six part history of the Seattle Mariners. I assume it will be brutal and amazing.

There's admittedly some dark part of me that goes and reads the POG Politics Thread sometimes. As much as anything, it amuses me to know that eyebooger volunteered to become a mod there.

But anyway...

Did I just find out that Jsmith is VMF reincarnated?! What in the blue ****? Is it truly 100% impossible to actually have a 2p2 perma-ban be a permanent ban? I guess the answer must be yes at this point. There's truly no point in having an internet if VMF can post on it.

As it was, there was so much "filler" that changed all the characters after season 2 that it no longer made sense (and the Barney/Robin stuff was so pointless in the grand scheme of things). I loved a lot about that series early seasons though.
I've always found it pretty amazing that, at the beginning, they got those kids to do the final sequence encouraging their dad to go for Aunt Robin and that word of it never firmly leaked.

I really didn't mind the Barney/Robin stuff. Neil Patrick Harris acted circles around the rest of them, and it was good that he got some meaty stuff rather than just being stuck as the one non-serious member of the main cast.

I laughed way too hard at this and I'm a terrible person for doing so.

^ This is a big part of why I wasn't shedding any tears over the end of the Mike Leach era at WSU. The longer time went on, the more it felt like our wins were the fruit of a devil's bargain.

My initial view of Nick Rolovich the person is very positive. Hoping the results on the field follow.

With nfl being the only sports doing anything right now I read into it more. It's amazing that it's a near perfect split between "Superstars that already have boatloads wanting to say no because they don't get enough" and "Fringe players wanting to say yes to have something in the 1-3 years left they have in the league".

Incredible to watch multi millionaires piss and moan about the majority of players making near league min getting 20% increases + additional roster slots letting more people make that. Oh man, richard sherman can't get a second boat. Poor fellow. Oh damn, Aaron Rogers salary will only increase by like 1.4 million just by this passing thanks to a 17th game. How's he gonna manage?

As is tradition: Those that have try their damnedest to ensure those that don't can't get there too.

A friend of mine is a hardcore Colts fan who has always hated Philip Rivers with the fire of a thousand suns.

Therefore, the notion of Rivers signing with Indy makes me happy.

NFL continues to be the only sports news:

Why does it feel so much more weird watching Brady leave NE than it did Peyton leaving Indy? I wonder if this is what it was like when Montana went to the Chiefs. Peyton left and I shrugged and thought good signing Denver. Brady left and it just feels weird af.

If anything, it feels less weird to me than Montana or Peyton, because it felt like both of those guys had more in the tank at departure time than Brady does now.

But in some ways I can see where it's weirder. Niners were moving on to a confirmed great QB and the Colts were moving on to a likely great QB. I assume we'll finally see the Pats die now after almost two decades of incredible dominance.

Indy had a plan (Luck over Peyton) - NE doesn't (and has only had playoffs success while he's been there)?

FFS, I just tried watching the pilot of Little Fires Everywhere despite thinking the book was wildly overrated. A cover of this song popped up in it. WHO THE **** COVERS SUCH A WORTHLESS SONG?

I just watched Beyond the Mat again, probably been a good 10 years since I last saw it. Absolutely crazy that more than 20 years later Jake Roberts still lives.

Ha, I both did and said the same thing. Saw it was on Netflix and was like "hell yeah, honey come watch this." And when Jake came up I was thinking, who the **** would think this guy would still be alive now.
