I'd argue you're the worst is my favourite last episode ever.
Youre the worst had an incredibly solid ending. Especially on rewatch

The Americans is on my short list for best finales ever, but it’s difficult to compare that with these comedy finales.
****. You should immediately get on watching 6 feet under as soon as you finish The Room

It's my favourite show that I have never been able to convince anyone to watch. Not a single person.

Looks like the Houston XFL team has some guy named PJ Walker.

If the XFL ever expands to Lisbon, he can change his name to Aldo Montoya.

Eyebooger,
You have Oscars thoughts for tonight?

Actually can't watch the first half or so of it because wife and I got theatre tickets like half a year ago for this date.

As far as BP nominees, this is easily the strongest year since 2016.

My favorite was Marriage Story, but that has no shot.

I'd be fine with just about anything winning except Joker (though no problem if Joaquin wins Best Actor).

I've seen nothing, but I still like watching the show. I'm off of TV subscriptions at least until March Madness because I just don't use them when it's not on a sports season I'm into, but thankfully AT&T has its own streaming service now that I can milk for a free one-week trial.

I'm surprised that most services allow you to go the route of signing up for a free trial and then snap-canceling directly after to ensure that you don't forget and get charged.

Every time I see Laura Dern, I irrationally hate her, surely based entirely on how well she plays her brutally unlikable character on Big Little Lies.

That's probably the ultimate compliment for an actor or actress.

So you like her heel work. Completely acceptable.

I did think of you when I saw that. It was 100% inevitable. The NFL stands for nothing. We all knew that beyond all doubt.

That is not, of course, to criticize anyone who would choose to exit stage left as a result.

Yeah, I deluded myself into thinking they at least cared about player safety a little. The truth is "you can do anything you want as long as you're good". I'm thinking Ray Rice woulda been fine if he was still in his prime instead of the team wanted to be rid of him anyways.

They do. Just not for moral reasons. These player safety issues have increasingly become a real threat to their long-term bottom line. But situations like that Garrett one will, I assume, continue to be very rare, and thus nothing worth taking a stand on.

I finally shrugged off the practical reasons not to and freed myself of Facebook.

There are a handful of friends who only ever contacted me on there, but they have my phone number. If the lack of FB costs me a social invite or two, shrug emoji.

Whatsapp.

Ohhhhhhhhhhh shiiiiiiiiitttttttttttt

I got rid of it in like 2011 (ahead of the curve) and I have 100% lost contact with friends as a result. All of them being my fault, as in if I wanted to at the time I would have and regret ti after. On the plus side I now have made sure anyone I care about I 1) keep better contact with, 2) keep people on better platforms.

My take has always been that if we lost contact as friends it's because neither of us gave much of a **** to prevent it. Two way street etc.

Which is fine. I've learned over the last handful of years that sometimes you're really good friends with people because you have a lot of common interests. As time goes on you all grow, interests change, priorities shift, and you're just not the same people you were. That doesn't change the fact you were such good friends before. Just means you've both just kind of moved on and there's nothing to feel bad about over it. Also doesn't mean you can't reconnect in the future if they do line up again!

Suppose you had the opportunity to attend a clinic put on by a pro wrestling school.

Do you think it would make you appreciate the craft more or would it end up detracting from your enjoyment of the product?

I have no personal interest in becoming a wrestler, I'm just curious if it would be a fun thing to do.

Would probably make me appreciate the craft more, though I wouldn't be terribly interested in doing it.

I would like to magically absorb the knowledge I would gain from the experience without actually bothering with the experience.
