I haven’t really been down on Wilson here. Passes have mostly been accurate and it feels like he’s doing what he can while the OL gets eaten up.

More than being down on the OL though, Schottenheimer and Pete are just calling a terrible offensive game. If the season ends tonight, it's largely based on the insistence on running the ball when it's not ****ing there.

As good of a coach as Pete is, he has some antiquated philosophies that just aren't ever going to go away.

Yeah seeing how bad the run game has been its obvious their OL is getting destroyed up front, i just havent seen much out of him yet.

Would be hard to ever justify using an active roster spot on a backup kicker unless he had come in injured.

Janikowski was just a one-year bandage and he's been alright, though obviously if we survive this game we're going to have to sign some random unemployed dude before next week.

Maybe not have a punter who cant do anything outside of drop---------> kick. Plenty of other punters can kick a damn field goal when needed.

Dickson is an all-pro punter though. What happens when your kicker gets injured is just such a distant consideration given the rarity of the circumstances.

No surprise, which was why I still submitted. If we're losing here then it falls entirely to the coaches calling a horrible game IMO, which is a shame since this season has generally been one of Pete's finest coaching efforts overall.

On the bright side, Pete has managed to get this late into the game while only torching one timeout. Usually he's at 2+ by this point.

If Lockett isn't able to come back then I don't see how this ends well. Seems increasingly doubtful it ends well even if he's fine, though my gut feeling is that we'll get one more drive down by 3 or 6 (preferably 6 so that we can just forget about any dropkick FG stuff).
