Master, I did resubscribe to GameFly and have an empty slot with The Show being alone in my queue, but the game isn’t out until Tuesday. Hoping to get a shipping notification tomorrow or Tuesday.

^ was shipped to me today.

Gamefly shipping does not tend to arrive especially quickly, so I doubt it actually arrives until at least Thursday.

Let me know what you think when you get it. I have until Friday to decide to pull the trigger or not

MLB.tv has a ton of issues, but I continue to pay their ransom anyway. I hold out little hope of this year's Mariners finally breaking the playoff drought, but it's not so impossible as to dismiss the possibility without at least giving the season a shot.

Master, The Show 18 arrived in today's mail, so hopefully I'll be able to form some sort of opinion by mid-tomorrow.

I feel like I should be posting in here because the mods are pretty decent people, even though I am not really into wrestling. Is this allowable in this thread or shall I be shunned due to my wrestling ignorance? Actually tbh wrestling attracts some decent posters looking at this thread. Maybe I should have another look at it and be a bit more open minded.

Rexx,
You’re more than welcome here, and we would be very weird to shun any good posters from an LC thread.

Just dont take this attitude to other wrestling forums...We seem to be a cream of the crop type group

Thanks LKJ hope you like it.

Welcome Rexx, odd though it may seem, the Wrestling forum is by far the forum filled with the most decent people on this site that I've encountered.

Some friends eventually beat me into submission and caused me to start watching The West Wing. It has led me into the exact place of limbo that I feared: it's certainly good enough to keep me watching, but it's not so great that it really strikes me as having much of a chance to land on my all-time favorites, and now I feel obligated to continue watching through all seven seasons.

That's how just about everyone I know felt about watching Lost

I was quite hooked on Lost for the first two seasons, and ended up throwing up my hands and perma-quitting sometime during season four (I think). Not all heroes wear capes.

TWW has a natural stopping point at the end of season 4 though.

That's when they fired Aaron Sorkin and Thomas Shalamie (?) quit in solidarity or whatever.

The show went noticeably downhill after that in virtually every aspect. S2-3 are top notch. S1 is good, and 4 is fun. 5-6-7 are whatever. Some good moments, but basically spam.

I just tried a full rewatch of Lost. Watched the first 4 seasons in like 2 or 3 weeks, but 5 is just so bad I havent gone back in a while.

On to ER now, pretty solid into season 4 so far.

Thanks for the welcome everyone.

Ok I unfortunately watch too much TV but I managed to miss out on TWW, Lost and ER. I think TWW is the only one I would think about watching now. Lost is a show I think would have been better experienced when it came out, just from the limited info I know about it. I'd never watch ER because I dislike medical shows. Probably the only exception to that would have been the UK show Getting On, that was a pretty amazing watch.

That's good info to know, Feldman. Had no idea that Sorkin wasn't there for the whole series.

I never watched ER. I would be intrigued given its popularity, but Hulu is the streaming subscription service that I don't have. Probably just as well given that it has 15 damn seasons. Looking it up and seeing that Julianna Margulies was on the cast of ER reminds me: I thought The Good Wife was tremendous. Only picked it up after it had left the airwaves, but I was hooked on it from beginning to end once I started watching.

The Good Wife is on my list of shows I definitely want to give a go. I really liked Chris Noth in Law & Order. My list is too long though and I am trying to cut back on my telly consumption. I was an avid reader up until a few years ago and would like to get back into that habit. Book reader not forum reader

Master,
The Show 18 doesn't really bring anything new to the table aside from a roster update. So it's still great, but I wouldn't expect anything revolutionary if you decide to buy.

I just signed up for Hulu. Been using it pretty much non stop. Think the netflix + Hulu with no cable combo is the way to go

Sounds like it cuts you off from sports unless you sign up for those subscription services.

I would have difficulty giving up HBO right now, particularly with Silicon Valley back in season and the new Andre documentary coming up.

Serious recommendation: Give Lucha Underground a shot. It's not at all like other wrestling shows.

MLB TV was great. Antenna cost me 20 bucks and covers a decent bit of events and football. I guess I don't entirely care as much anymore about sports.

I agree - House is still a must-watch though. Hugh Laurie is such an amazingly talented person and acting is just one of his strong points.

Two first seasons of Lost were amazing, but after that it became increasingly clear that they had no idea how to close out the awesome build-up they had created.

The end of Lost was pretty poor, but about as good as what they could've done I guess. Certainly nowhere near Battlestar Galactica-bad... what I would give to go back and never watch the last few episodes of that series...

Yeah I'm still using 15 though so I think it's time for an update. I'll probably buy it tonight.

By the way if you like sorkin and don't want a huge commitment, Sports Night is in my top 10 all time shows and is only 2 seasons. Just ignore the laugh track in the first handful of episodes. They eventually drop it

This. Almost nothing worth watching on cable sports unless you're heavy into March Madness.
