Initial Dwight worked on that level. The suck up to the boss guy that takes way too much pride in a meaningless title bestowed upon them is a staple of any office environment that I've been a part of. This of course went way out there as the series progressed. Yet I always found Dwight enjoyable even when it was full blown cartoon character.

I also think "normal guy" Temp Ryan Howard was way better than later versions of his character for similar reasons to Chachi's theory.

It's a similar reason why I enjoy the movie Waiting so much. All of the characters in that movie are also based off of real life. Yeah the plot isn't the best, but believe me as someone who used to work in many different kitchens for 20+ years, I actually worked with every type of person from that movie. I may or may not also be a character or two myself, but that's another discussion

Think Im finally gonna pull the trigger and cancel MLB tv. This is my 7th year, and its pretty unreal that it still buffers so damn much I cant even watch a game. Hard to believe they can have such bad performance that even WWE was able to pass them in just a couple years

The lagging problems are very real, but I guess I feel I have no choice but to pay their ransom or I can't really follow the Mariners. And what a punishment that would be...

Yeah thats the thing, its a pretty terrible combo for them of service being worse and my team being legit terrible.

Really sucks though, it worked fine before they switched to this flash based system 2 years ago. And that coincided spot on with me leaving Chicago, meaning I actually want to use the service even more now. On paper and for the cost, this would be an unbeatable service

FFS. Mariners blow a six-run lead in the 9th inning to drop to 1-6.

I mostly exist in this world just to shame others for overreacting to things, but I'm bracing myself for this season to be over before the end of April.

In 2001 the Mariners blew a 12-run lead to lose to the Indians, so that was fun.

Fun story: I was at that game. My family did a vacation in the area where we went to baseball games in I believe Chicago, St Louis, KC, and Cleveland before going to the NFL Hall of Fame game which featured the Dolphins. This game was the night before the Hall of Fame game, it was a blowout, and we decided to leave early because we still had to drive the bit over there. Got to the hotel and saw that and we've never left a game early since.

As for the Mariners this season, I'm still not worried. We'll see where it's at a month into the season. Baseball is a loooong season

FWIW The Show is basically the same game once again, which is to say that it's good but the differences/improvements are minor, so if you have a previous edition then you're mostly paying for a roster update.

It didn't take long before I tapped out on the new defensive throwing controls, which I found way too difficult...I was making 4+ errors per game. You can choose different mechanics though, so you're not stuck with that feature.

It's not without its charm I guess, though it just exists for single games.

Well hard to not be disappointed by that, but Im not really sure what else they can do. Im still debating if I want to use free time on a vidya game, so well see

Yeah, I've run into the same feeling lately about spending my time on video games...not that I have anything important to do otherwise. It's long been my relationship with video games that I don't play them year-round though. I'll get obsessed with one for a few weeks and spend most of my free time on it, then will put it down and not play video games at all for months (not out of any particularly deliberate choice; I just basically forget about them for large chunks of time after I burn out on one that I love). The periods of semi-obsession with an awesome game are fun though.

Yeah, thats where I've been the last few years, Xcom 2 held me for about 1.5 months, and then I did relatively little gaming until BOTW, which held my attention for quite a while (I've stopped playing because I sent it back to Gamefly, but I will for sure pick it up again, since I was not finished)

So, I have the TV on in the background, and I look up when I hear The Rock's voice. It turns out to be a commercial for the 154th Fast and Furious movie. Now I have not watched one minute of the previous 153, so it's entirely possible that I may be missing something, but the commercial consisted of a bunch of people driving their cars on a frozen body of water being chased by a submarine. Then the sub fires a torpedo at the cars but The Rock hangs out of his cars and manually pushes the torpedo on a different trajectory toward a military vehicle, blowing it up. That's all I got

Fast and Furious narrowly beats out Die Hard movies when it comes to how normal the first one is to how bat**** absurd the last one is. Die Hard 1: Bruce walks through glass and everyones cringing at it. What a badass. Live Free or Die Hard: Bruce hangs off the back of a fighter jet as it spirals out of control before jumping off and sliding down a destroyed portion of highway into the rubble as the plane crashes and explodes. What a badass.
