One day nfl teams will realize the Fat Mike playbook of "Achieve lead with good offense -> sit on the ball and stop trying to move it so the clock will run out" leads to "stare in bewilderment as the other team celebrates a comeback".

You'd think Quinn would know that being the beneficiary of multiple Fat Mike ****ups. Alas.

I do enjoy watching some of the terrible Falcons posters be sad though. Like the one dude who tried to argue Freeman/Coleman > Bell/Williams

Okay, in truth, despite rooting for the Falcons the whole way, there's part of me that's sort of happy that there's a whole new segment of the population that fully feels and understands my "heartbreaking SB loss to the Patriots" pain. Misery loves company and all that. The soul-crush for the Falcons is probably even worse since we at least could fall back on a trophy from the prior year, while they still have never won one. That's all me searching for a silver lining though. That sucked.

I was rooting for the Falcons because of that but seeing the Pats down 28-3 and growing up in Worcester, I couldn't help but root for them by the end of the 3rd.

This Super Bowl and the NCAA National Championship Game. This is a good year for championship games.

To me, the NCAA game was more enjoyable because I was a true neutral in that game. I didn't care at all who won. The SB was painful because I was rooting against NE the whole game.

Also:

Falcons were 99.9% to win in the 3rd quarter up 28 to 3.

Surprisingly, they were still 99.9% to win in the 4th quarter up 28 to 12 with 9 minutes left (just before the Matt Ryan fumble).

Speaking of Paige, it's funny how Total Divas is talking about how all the couples are worried about being split up by the draft . . . and they are completely ignoring the fact that Paige's boyfriend is also a wrestler. I guess they had to after he got fired, but still funny because none of the Total Divas couples got split up. (The only split ups are Zack/Emma and Enzo/Carmella).

Just watched it myself, Costas was positively gleeful about shovelling one more pile of dirt on the XFL fifteen years later. I'd forgotten how much he and Vince hate each other.
