Miller would be the Papa Johns in this conversation.

I also unashamedly prefer just drinking Bud by the bucket when watching football. I don't have much of a taste for the "good" stuff when it comes to most beer.

Have gotten food poisoning 4x from Dominos in my life, from 3 different ones, before and after they changed their recipe. The last time I had it, the CEO of our company bought our office pizza for lunch, then sprang that we, not a professional moving company, had to pack up all the computers and furniture, and carry them ourselves in 90-degree heat .5 mile each way, to move from one building to another.

Go **** yourself forever, Dominos

You could have stopped at "gotten food poisoning 4x in my life" and had my sympathies. I've only ever had it once, about 10 years ago, and still vividly remember how awful it was. To get it 4x from the same chain like that is pretty stunning.

By the way, the 2015 Mariners are the absolute worst. I haven't hated one of my own teams this much since the 2004 Seahawks. As of yesterday's loss, I'm going to stop forcing myself to keep sitting through all of the games as some sort of self-torture. I'll keep tabs because I can't help myself, but **** this team.

As a man who was in the pizza business in one form or another from the time I was 16 until I was 36, I would like to say thank you for this statement. The constant talk of Papa Johns and Dominos was becoming disheartening for me.

They really are. I can't think of a team in any sport recently with such hype going into a new season just completely and totally ****ting the bed. Every game is an exercise in futility

I have to think that this is worse than a scenario where Felix would have suffered a season-ending injury early on and left me feeling robbed of the season that could be (which, as it turns out, it very likely was never going to be). At least in a case like that, I would have detached really early on. They recently went 12 straight games following a WLWLWLWL pattern. That type of **** is designed to torture.

Since the start of 2007:
Mets 674 wins
Mariners 637 wins
(the discrepancy is bigger if you count 2006)

Gonna go out on a limb and say that I have some idea.

Mets were in the playoffs more recently, obviously were in the WS more recently than "never"...I don't know how being a Mets fan could be worse than being a Mariner fan.

2007 and 2008. I dont know if any Mariners season can compare to the disappointment Mets fans felt those two years, 2007 in particular. I say this as a still gloating Phillies fan

In 2001 (the last time we made the playoffs), the Mariners tied the regular season record with 116 wins and then got unceremoniously dumped out of the playoffs short of the World Series.

So that's one Mariners season that comes to mind, and not just because - at nearly 15 years ago - it's still pretty much the last one that was truly worth watching.

(This was just the season after the Mets were in the WS, by the way.)

the mets had the best team in the NL in 06 and choked in the lcs and then had the two biggest end of season collapses in major league history

2007
With a seven-game division lead on September 12, the Mets suffered a historic collapse by losing 12 of their last 17 games

2008
This time, they held first place by a season-high 3 1/2 games with 17 remaining before going 7-10 the rest of the way. they lost on the last day of the season to get eliminated from the playoffs in the last game ever played at shea stadium. and 55,000 fans had to stay to watch the ceremony after watching them choke a playoff spot for the 2nd consecutive year

Yawn. So they've been the clearly better franchise, but they've been disappointed more. Well yes, disappointment is generally pretty exclusively the domain of franchises that aren't at the bottom of the damn league for over a decade straight. The alternative - constantly sucking through those years - isn't better.

Wrote the GTA sketch, then was told for edits, to pretty much take out all GTA references -_-

GTA 5 - it wasn't too detailed, just mentioned a few cars in the game and some street names. I'll post the sketch sometime ITT (my sketches tend to fall flat in cold reads until they get to the stage, that or no one in groups I've been in actually tries in cold reads).

I don't generally find Trevor funny on GTA V. I always just kind of roll my eyes when he stars in a cutscene.

His dialogue in driving areas is better than the cutscenes. I find most if his interactions with Wade to be pretty good as well

I went to an independent wrestling show on the weekend and during promos, the crowd would "What?" guys. I don't follow the company all that closely, only going to a show every few months, so I don't really know/care about the story lines the promos were covering, but it was still annoying. And most of the guys are pretty bad at promos, so they had no idea how to handle it. I mean, how do you handle it? They tried pausing to let the crowd have its fun, and some tried talking through it. Nothing worked.
