The contrast between the White Sox and the Cubs announcers really is remarkable. Hawk is atrocious and the Cubs are talking about WAR, wOBA, and splits.

Not only do the Cubs talk about those stats, Hawk is flat out refuses to acknowledge that those stats measure anything relevant or that they even exist. Unfortunately for viewers, there are plaenty of Sox fans who love this about him and love his overly homerisitic announcing that he isnt going anywhere until he decides he wants to. Plus Reinsdorf is loyal to a fault when it comes to certain employees in both of his sports franchises that he wont move him out either

Harry was obviously a Phils fan, and would get excited when the team would make a good play or whatever, bit it was in a way that didn't detract from the broadcast. The tone of the broadcast never seemed to change no matter what was going on on the field, and I always appreciated that. Unlike the idiot they have calling games now, or Chris Wheeler.

That's another reason I love Vin Scully. He bleeds Dodger blue, but his tone never changes. Always keeps it on an even keel.

I love listening to the Hawk when the Sox are losing.

I don't much care for the Fast and Furious movies. I forget which one I saw, but I thought it was good, but not great. That was several years ago. Now there are rumors going around of an 8th? Sheesh. But if it makes money, I guess you can't blame them. No disrespect if you love these movies.

1 was good, 2 was garbage. I think I saw 5 and it seemed like a standard meh action movie. Im surprised its gone so deep too. I feel the same way about all the superhero/comic book movies. Like, theyre decent mindless action, but I cant understand the excitement. A guy is taking off the day from work to go see opening day of the next Avengers movie. Huh?

Obviously I'm anti-Blackhawks, their fanbase is that same obnoxious Chicago fanbase that I detest so much.

Some of the superhero flicks I like, though I'm far from fanatical about them. I liked the first Iron Man to a surprising extent. Thought the Nolan Batman trilogy was very enjoyable, though not quite to the elite level that others thought it was. Everything else is whatever.

I also get into a lot of arguments with my brother regarding the Transformers movies. He's thinks they're great, I think they're trash. I think I'm right.

I only watched the first Transformers movie. I don't know, I guess I would be closer to your "garbage" side than "great." I don't remember it very well at this point, so it didn't really impress me and I'll certainly never bother with it again, but I also don't remember hating it or anything.

One more thought on Fast and Furious. So, this new one was supposed to have this emotional ending, and if you didn't cry, "You don't have feels, yo." So, I found a grainy/cell phone camera version of it on Youtube, and to be honest, I was really digging it. Certainly not crying or anything, but it was a nice tribute to Paul Walker. Had this nice emotional song going in the back and I thought it was almost perfect and then that ******* Wizz Khalfia or whoever starts rapping over the song. I was like, "Wtf?" It was awesome up until that point.

Maybe I'm just being a nit picky *******, but it really made me angry.

Losing streaks are the ****ing worst. I've watched an entire week now of the giants losing. They finally have like 3 chances last night and blew all three before giving it up in the 12thml.

Just awful. You shouldn't have to dread the next batter coming up when your team is down one with the bases loaded and no outs. You should be able to say "oh yeah, game over"

Not complaining in a sense of "man, they should be winning am every game" I mean hell, I didn't even bemoan the fact that the team is incredibly injured. Was just speaking in generalities, losing streaks are no fun. I'd rather have a team win 40% of their games if they win one every fourth game than have a team win 50% of their games but win 5 lose 10 win 5 etc.
