Well thank you for the implicit compliment, but I only dabble in them here and there. It sounds like you've watched way more than I have.

I was rather fond of Planet Earth though.

Planet earth is great. Have you been watching Cosmos?

Oh and grind, Zeitgeist is all kinds of terrible

Oh man, if you liked Planet Earth, you'll really like it. First day blu ray buy for me when it comes out

The most interesting and impactful documentary to me is the Up Series which is a series of documentaries filmed every 7 years that follows the lives of a group of people from the age of 7 until present (7 Up, 7+7, 21 Up, 28 Up, 35 Up, 42 Up, 49 Up, 56 Up, etc). I wish they would do it again in America but alas I don't think I'd be around to catch the end.

Zeitgeist has an 8.3 out of 10 on imdb, 87% on Rotten Tomatoes, and the content is right up my alley.

I watched it and thought it was ok, read up on it afterwards and realized it's filled with a lot of BS and half truths

Cosmos - A Spacetime Odyssey is technically a sequel to the 1980 series called Cosmos - A Personal Voyage which was presented by Carl Sagan. I have not yet watched either.

The only company-approved DVDs we can have playing in our waiting room at work are I Love Lucy, Bewitched, and Planet Earth.

I try to put on PE, but it by far gets the most vocal complaints and disdain, to the point of outrage. Sigh.

(We also have Cheers, but the DVDs are terrible in that there's no "Play All" option, so I have to get up and press play for every new episode and yeah, no thanks).

Really? It's not 2005. I had like 300 dvds stolen like 6 years ago and I was like "Meh, who cares?!"

You gotta keep a VCR around, man. Without it, what would I watch all my WWF VHS tapes on?

I also use one of those old TVs with the big box at the back to play video games on. The picture is a little blurry, but it still works good enough.

Seriously, I still have a cabinet full of WWF PPVs from the Golden Era through the Attitude Era that I will never get rid of, and I keep a VCR around just in case I want to watch them again.

I could probably upgrade the TV, though, but I'm too lazy and for some reason I'm terrible at playing video game on every TV except the one I use.

There's a WWE Network now. Every PPV on demand, doubtlessly in better quality than an old VHS. It just sounds like you're embracing clutter because the clutter has nostalgic value. Which is fine I suppose, people do keep antiques as a hobby. Just can't imagine keeping that stuff myself.

Soon enough WWE will have all the old Raws and Nitros online as well and then you can just trash all those old VHS tapes.

In Canada, we don't have the WWE Network.

I'm thinking about just picking my favourite PPVs from the cabinet and getting them burnt on DVD.

That would be a MASSIVE waste of time to take them from one dead medium and move them to another dead medium.

WWE Network will be launching in Canada by the end of the year per WWE's CFO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u28dp_INmjk (at around 1:12)
