I agree. I like the peace and quiet, basically just to recompose yourself.

I just feel like a work day is much shorter when I actually get an escape. It feels like two four-hour shifts with a nice recharge session vs. a consecutive eight hours. Day goes by faster.

Meh, I generally only take about 15 minutes for lunch nowadays anyway. I spend a good portion of my time dicking around at my desk during the day that it more than makes up for it. What is the Army gonna do to me? Demote me? Nope.

Well obviously I do that too. I'm basically a publicly-subsidized 2p2 poster really.

I eat for ~ ten minutes and then walk around downtown for about 45. Good way to get some exercise in and see some of the sights I havent seen after moving here a bunch of years ago

I go home every day for lunch hour (~5 minutes away).

I used to heat up my lunch and play a 6-seater turbo SNG (the timing was perfect if I lasted until the final 2), but LOLUSA.

Hedging advise needed.

I have the potential of winning my NCAA bracket this Saturday. If Wisconsin gets to the finals, I will tie for the win, regardless of the other games. I would receive $1050. But if Wisconsin loses to Kentucky, I'm only getting $150 at best, depending on tie breakers. Wisconsin in +2 and +111 on the money line. Kentucky is -129. What would be the best bet to hedge and guarantee around $500?

Unfortunately I have no idea, dnky.

(Somehow I thought this would be better than just having your post permanently ignored.)

Yeah, apparently Russell Wilson came and spoke to the Badgers this week to motivate them, so their real odds of beating UK are probably no worse than 97%.

I normally would, but I just booked tickets to go to St. Louis for a bowling tournament with my league. I could use the guaranteed couple of dollars in my pocket. Gonna bet $400 on Kentucky. If Wisconsin wins, I get $1050-$400 for a $600 profit. If Kentucky wins, I get $400+$125ish for around a $500 profit.

Is that upcoming snowstorm going to hit you out there, LKJ? Just cruel for one to come along at this point in time (it's 70 in Boston!)

Thankfully not, I hadn't heard that such a thing was coming. Ten-day forecast here looks pretty sexy aside from a temporary drop in temperature on Tuesday and Wednesday.

So I recently found out that one of my old e - fed mates successfully cached all of our shows, and since I consider the matches/promos I did some of the best writing I've done and the fact that it was headed/head written by Brandon Stroud, I'm curious whether anybody here would be interested in reading the shows if I posted them

Was watching the US Masters yesterday. Bubba Watson takes his driver out, commentator remarks, 'here comes another Bubba bomb!'

So the "Aberdeen, Washington" hometown for Daniel Bryan has always set off alarm bells in my head as I mentioned earlier, and made me think that I may have known friends of his back in college. Finally, despite thinking I was being weird in doing so, I looked one of them up on Facebook and messaged him to ask if he knew Bryan Danielson at all. I mentioned that I always think of this friend and his brother whenever I heard D-Bry come out.

He replies:
Quote:
I do know him really well actually, I lived at his house, we were both in his wedding this past weekend
I thought, "Well **** that's pretty over-the-top, is he just ****ing with me?" But actually googling their names with him brought up a number of articles where they were mentioned as friends of his.

Quote:
The Backyard Championship Wrestling was a friendly wrestling league between Danielson and his middle and high school friends — Evan and Kristof Aho, Tony Sajec, Skyler Parker and Mike and Jake Dove — that allowed them to wrestle each other and create pro wrestling personas before they watched televised wrestling shows every Monday night in the 1990s.
I know three of the guys mentioned there from having gone to Washington State University with them. One of them actually showed me a videotape of this backyard championship wrestling back in Aberdeen, so I'm actually guessing that way back in the day I saw the high school version of Daniel Bryan getting his start.

Anyway, always enjoyed that D-Bry was local to my home state, but didn't actually know until now that back when he was a nobody, he was a friend of some pretty good friends.

Very cool story.

I still think back to Febuary 2008 when I went to my first ROH show. The venue was about 5 minutes from where I was working at the time, so I arrived very early. Got a great parking spot, right upfront. As I turn my car off, a minivan pulls in to the spot next to me, with the American Dragon Bryan Danielson driving. I have my little fan boy moment in the car, then compose myself, step out of the car, and actually shake his hand. What an awesome moment that was. The other person in the minivan with him was Rocky Romero, who he was scheduled to face that night. Kayfabe dead.

Code of honor IMO, it's only sporting to give your opponent a lift.
