And the security is pretty sketchy.

That is one thing. I always fear that going to a site will cause me to publish a status that tells on me or something.

Also pictures from people's worldwide travels. Love that stuff as long as they don't talk about how it helped them find themselves in the comments.

I disabled my FB for a week, and got emails from a couple comedian friends asking if something major was wrong and if I was ok. Feel like it's a necessity to have to promote shows/maintain connections/admin purposes, though I'm thinking of taking a break once a month for a few days for productivity's sake.

If FB is interfering with your general productivity. . . you're doing it wrong.

Yeah FB is just something that I compulsively click on because it's on my bookmarks bar. I never stay there for long. There's not that much to read, because I hide almost fully half of my friends list from my feed. And I cull my friends list so that there aren't unworthy people in there. So playing catch-up on my feed takes like 90 seconds.

I also use Facebook to once a month post that Tina Fey is hot.

Dude. The whole point of making a status update is to attempt a witticism.

I once stepped up to the plate and offered to fix a big chunk of Facebook's problems, but these rules never really gained mainstream acceptance.

Quote:
1. There is no liking political posts of any kind, no matter how agreeable to your opinions or ideology.

2. There is no liking posts that clearly were NOT inspired by any of the following traits: wit, humor, cleverness, intelligence, unless allowed for by rules 3 and 4.

3. You may press like to applaud a big accomplishment, even if none of the aforementioned in Rule 2 were involved in the way the status was presented.

4. You can also press like on links you like without regard to Rule 2, unless in violation of Rule 1.

5. There is no pressing like on a post purely because you find the female who posted it attractive. Within basic reasonableness, status-liking has to be blind to gender. Would you have pressed like if a dude posted it? Rule 5 allows you and your conscience to figure it out and act accordingly.

6. Unless strongly allowed for under Rule 2, there is no pressing like on weather-related posts. They are the "HELLO <CITY I'M IN>!" of Facebook; designed for cheap applause, but completely undeserving.

I mostly use Facebook to rant about my favourite sports teams. Is that acceptable, LKJ? I even used it to rant about the finish to the Rock/Punk match at the Royal Rumble last year. Was that last year?

I do sports statuses sometimes, though I've dropped off on that considerably since I transplanted across the country and a bigger chunk of my friend list couldn't possibly care less about my teams; "never bore your audience" is of the utmost in all facets of social communication. I did devote a few statuses to trolling the myopic Peytonheads here in Indiana leading up to the Super Bowl though.

I like the move of opening with a sarcastic "oh wow this person is wrong" comment when the person is not frequently outspoken or wrong about things. But hey, for someone who apparently argues about subjectivity, I wouldn't expect much more.

What kind of job are you working these days friend? If it makes you all feel better I'll try and start BB again once I'm done with HoC. Master feel free to jot down more notes on how I should feel during each scene

Me? I'm still a lawyer. I destroy people's careers for a living...or I protect the public from them, which is probably the preferred spin (and in most cases is more true, to be fair). That is to say I prosecute people's professional licenses when they break the applicable laws. The biggest chunk of my work is nurses, but my division handles basically any professional licensees in Indiana (outside of lawyers; some other entity keeps us in line).

I just auto-hide any young mother from my feed upon the birth of the baby. If they get going in too many pregnancy-related statuses, I drop the ax on them before they give birth.

I have a friend from elementary school that just posted a picture of herself holding her newborn child. She had no pregnancy pictures or announcement statuses the entire time, only posted once or twice a month otherwise.

Not surprisingly, she's one of the most modest, genuine and nicest girls you'd ever meet. That's the way to do it, young moms (or not get knocked up)

I agree. Its the constant reminding. There has to be psychological issues with that.

The entire act that they are the first person to have a child.

Did bitches back in 1700 act like that? Must check shakeaspear "damn that bitch moaning again *sigh*"

Nah. Fwiw, i was just trying to apease LKJ. I am quite unaware of your right/wrong record. However, I do think anybody who ended up on team Walt after viewing the series as a whole is objectively wrong.

I simultaneously understand master's argument in favor of Skylar and laugh at how apoplectic it makes him (or made him in the past).
