I stopped using facebook, and I have found I honestly have no idea when anything is happening. News stories, tv stuff, parties, anything. Pretty much totally in the dark on everything now

Twitter can generally keep you up to date on the world and is probably better than FB at this point. Obviously following people socially and just hoping for witticisms is a bad use of Twitter; it's best to just follow news sources that cover subjects that you want to keep up on. Some local media who cover every sports team you care about, some national talking heads as a catch-all to cover the main stories. I've eventually dropped all of my political follows, but Warming Glow does a good job of keeping me in the TV loop.

I still log into FB daily but I find that it basically only exists to annoy the **** out of me and that it's not really a net positive at all.

Exactly where I was. Just a total waste of time so I stopped, but it is annoying to lose social connections (Or at least have them as readily available).

Took me a good while to warm up to Twitter but I definitely enjoy using it now.

1. Valentine's Day is the worst. I actually got my gf a card this year because I saw one she'd like when I was at the shop the other day, but we don't bother with it. She did dress up for me last night though so that was cool.

2. If a girl mentions anything about money on the first date just get outta there asap.

3. I stopped using facebook ages ago and don't miss it one bit. I don't use any social media at all.

That's generally the rule, but I tend to get cut off on a part of the board and can't expand so I have to focus on going in to cities and development cards.

Unfortunately some rungood or runbad early in the game can really make or break you. The players who can get started in expanding the earliest seem to win most of the time.

It's also a huge bitch when you buy a development card early and pull a victory point. **** that.

I can't remember whether I've played that one or not. I did enjoy the Seafarers expansion. Maybe I played Cities and Knights too? I remember thinking that expansion really is great and makes the base game feel boring by comparison.
