You can't stop Ray Lewis, you can only hope to geographically contain him.

Also, yeah, sorry about the Robot Combat League mention. Could have been cool. Wasn't.

Is there an Under Armour joke here, anywhere?

Those two guys in atlanta might still be alive if they actually were wearing armor?

Ray-Ray will be endorsing a new offshoot, Six-Feet-Under Armour?

Not bad, but when someone announces the setup for a joke it really limits its ceiling.

Need to write 20 more pages for a first draft of a sitcom pilot tomorrow. As much as I love witty, dry humor like Arrested Development and early Office, it's hard as hell to write it well. This couldn't be any more anti-typical Burdz, but it's based on real life so it's just punchy dialogue that I have to worry about instead of story outlines and ideas. Will gladly email it to anyone if interested in the future, won't post here until I get it copywrited.

What's the premise?

Id like to point out most sitcom scripts are 20-30 pages, so saying you have 20 left is rather lol

Also 100% interested, used to be very interested in being a tv/movie writer till i realized i sucked terribly when I had to write a full 4 eps of a sitcom

thats why he has 20 pages left.

his humor is limited to single lines of puns.

There's a OneAmerica building in downtown Indy that has a readerboard sign out front that is used solely for Burdzisms. Drove by it earlier tonight and it said, "Jokes about German sausages are the wurst." Are you ****ing serious?

Actually most sitcom scripts are 32-38 pages. It's different than movies, which are usually a line per page. Go see the fsoyars thread in OOT if you don't believe me.

It's basically Party Down but about a bunch of people in their 20's to 40's doing door-to-door fundraising. Main character is a college kid on summer break that needs this job to pay his summer rent so he doesn't have to move back home, and falling for the only girl who works there that hasn't drank the company Kool-Aid. It's mostly based on personal experience. You'd think some of the things these people do to "warm up" before going out to fundraise would be Burdzisms, but they're actually that terrible and embarrassing.

For those who liked the WW wrestling game a few months ago (and even for those that didnt!), I've got a NCAA hoops-themed game starting Monday that needs players. Go, sign up, play. It'll be fun, or your money back:

I'm beginning to think girls that write "I love terrible puns!" in their online dating profile are full of it. There aren't many things I'm better at than Burdzisms, and I still don't get a response. Come on ladies, there's no such thing as an ATTRACTIVE guy who loves making bad puns, get real.

I would like to think that anyone who says such a thing is abjectly lying.

Online dating is one of the least likely places I'd imagine a girl going meta

I haven't done much of the online dating thing, but I did once message a girl on one of those sites because her profile said under the "You should contact me if..." she put "Have good grammar. I'm sort of not kidding."

I did end up meeting her, no chemistry and I never pursued a second date, but she was cool and we're still casual friends a few years later. If nothing else, I'll always respect her being on the correct side of the communication continuum.
